[Unwavering Thoughts]

These are my specs (laptop):

RAM: 4 GB DDR3
GFX: NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M
AUDIO: Realtek (Sorry about this one, i can't find more details)

I recently purchased this lappy in order to play visually demanding games, after playing Deus Ex: HR exceptionally, i came across ME2 for 10$ and I really wanted to have played it before, but I didn't have a PC good enough to handle it.

My issue are freezing strokes that happen without any kind of order or pattern, they generally last between 5 to 8 seconds and sometimes more, where i have to tab out when it's possible or wait until it "unfreezes" itself. These freezes seem to pop up more frequently during dialogues and less during exploring, fighting or even accessing the HUD.

I've already patched to the most recent game version, 1.02, but no improvement in that area, the game runs at a very consistent FPS and it only occupies 20% of my CPU usage when playing. I've also updated my GFX card to the latest drivers and still no change.

I've searched out the forums before posting my issue, however i did not find anything related as other freezes were in specific or situational, while mine are consistent throughout the game, severly limiting my game experience and enjoyment.

I would deeply appreciate feedback on this and i'm more than willing to grant any kind of extra details necessary to help solving this issue.

1) If you haven't updated the realtek audio drivers that came with Win7 do so, the stock ones stink.
2) Try a fairly old video driver, something around the 258. range or so. Nvidea has a bad habit of messing up older games with new drivers. So a first step is to play with the drivers and see if you can find one to fix the issue.
3) Next would be to change your core affinity from using all four cores to using 2 and see if it makes a difference.
4) Check to see what other programs you are running in the background, there are many that will interfere with games, such as Asus video card bonus programs, comcast web defender, some virus programs, and a whole host of others.
