I'm assuming she's talking about the anime one. Call it a hunch.

Not a fair comparison, I know. But still... there's a subtle progression there, if you look hard enough.

The problem people have with this Chris is it looks nothing like Liara. No freckles, diffrent face, oversexulised body with the only thing Liara is the lab suit. If you guys just said it was an asari the reaction would be alot diffrent.
This, pretty much. I have no problem with anime-style merch, and mixing it up a bit is always good, but this thing just doesn't look like the character it's supposed to be.
Why would I want to buy a model of my favourite character when it doesn't actually look like my favourite character?
Because they think you're a brain washed consumer addict who will buy any old junk placed in front of you.

Someone needs to show this to BioWare, pronto. If even the VA is mocking it, they've got a problem.

Just because she posts a photoshopped picture of herself with larger breasts, doesn't mean she has a problem with it.
I think it's funny and I love the statue.

Killing the character? Like how exactly, will she be appearing like that in ME3? Will You constantly see this figurine while looking on Liara? Then I think You guys look too much into it.

On a related note, I'm a little disappointed in the merchandise that has come out so far. I was excited for the figurines, but then they didn't come out very well. Shepard didn't look anything like himself and all of them looked like stick-figures.
I was excited about the SR2 ship as well... until I found out it was all of 6" big. I envisioned something closer to twice that size.
In any event, these seem like half-hearted attempts. I want something realistic, detailed and large enough I can examine its intricacies and display it proudly. I haven't seen anything like that yet and this toy stuff isn't worth the money imo.
Just venting I guess, sorry for the rant.

While I don't especially care about the figurine because if I wanted a fix of Liara like that, I could head off pixiv or something, I told my boyfriend I would buy him one when it came out. He squealed like a Twilight Fan girl meeting Edward Cullen's actor and clung to me for 2 hours.
My point is, it's an anime rendition, this is normal for such, some people will like it, others won't but nobody is forcing anybody to buy it.

^I agree.
Oh don't tell the BSN that - No this is direct slap in the face to the "Fan" base and Bioware hates all "Hardcore" RPG fans.

Um, this again? I'm sorry, but if product isn't directed to You, but other specific group of fans (and You won't change this), You don't have to buy it. And, no, this isn't BW's problem. Kotobukiya did what they normally do with this line, and I don't see why it's "oh so wrong". You don't like cubism, You don't buy cubistic portraits. You don't like apples, You don't eat them. But is that a reason to rant about how those pictures are wrong or those apples are sooo bad?
