Logs which curiously had no security on them in a hush hush high security facility. Shepard could have been meant to find them just as the whole awakening early could have been a set-up. The logs could be planted to make Shepard more amenable towards Cerberus per IM orders. Not saying that is what happened, but plausible. The mechs were ridiculously easy to beat and even a Cerberus security detail should have been able to stop it. I think IM was very hands on for Lazarus controlling all aspects.didymos1120 wrote...

That depends how much faith you have in the truthfulness of the Illusive Man.
No, because most of your info about it didn't come from TIM, but Wilson and Miranda's logs on Lazarus Station.
Here's going really out there what if the memory of the whole thing was implanted? Your first real congnizance would be on the shuttle going to the Ceberus base with your first contact with IM. It would also explain why Shepard knew about thermal clips much to the angst that subject creates here in some users.

It's a tutorial sequence. How hard do you expect them to be?

Mass Effect is space opera. Best not to think too hard about such things w/ space opera. That's how you get things like midi-chlorians.
Agreed.

Shep has no brain. Hence why the project worked.
