Ashley/Kaiden confrontation

Shepard on the other hand probably feels betrayed. He wakes up after two years in a coma to find that he's alone and friendless and has lost the support of both the council and the alliance. To make matters worse he gets ditched by one of the few people he tought he could rely upon and who shares in the secret of how the world is about to be destroyed.
How do you think the reunion will play out?

This.
It's like with the Turian Council member. There won't be time for grudges or "I told you so"s when you're fighting for not only your life, but the lives of everyone in the galaxy.

Nah, Councilor Valern will still be a douche. It's, like, his defining character trait.Oligo696 wrote...

But yeah, I think Kaishley and Shep will get over it quickly enough.

Oh definitely. What I meant was there won't be time for Shep to call him out on his "Ah yes "reapers"" moment.

Well, there might be, but I think you may want to sort out your priorities
Jus' kidding.
If there is an option it would be very tempting - I just think saving the galaxy comes first. But it can't be all about saving the galaxy, so I suppose they could probably fit it in somewhere.

Well, since Cerberus agents are going to be coming out of the woodwork attacking Shepard in the service of the Reapers, I'm pretty sure the VS are going to be able to have a "I told you so" moment, much to the ire of the VS haters.
I hope that happens, and I want an option to shoot VS on the spot if that happens. I would be very satisfied - that would be consistent with VS' characterization.
The funny thing is, I really like both Ashley and Kaidan, and I wish I could keep them both, and could sacrifice Liara or Tali on Virmire instead. But VS? One of the most despicable characters I've ever encountered, game or novel. There's nothing under the stars that can justify their behavior on Horizon.
But I WILL scream in rage if "forgive and forget" happens. So much drama flushed down the drain. No closure whatsoever. No opportunities to finally let VS know how I TRULY feel about them. No way, no way.
And yet it seems so very likely.
EDIT: Also, you're right, OP. With that Batarian system being blown up, VS is going to have a field day. "I knew it all along, you're a traitor and a terrorist!" And think, if VS couldn't be convinced that Shepard was working for the good of the galaxy when VS saw it with their own eyes on Horizon, there is no way VS could ever believe that Shepard blew up that system to halt the Reapers. Because there's no evidence of that whatsoever.

Pretty much. They'll definitely talk about it and whatnot, but it won't be any big-super-confrontation.KingNothing125 wrote...

Figures a Cerberus apologist would suggest being able to shoot the VS, rage at the "forgive and forget" angle, and just can't get over Horizon.
I changed my mind. I don't want to shoot them - I want them to live to regret their actions. For a long, long time, after Shepard saves the galaxy. Without them. Because they had their chance to join, and they blew it.
Well, there must be SOMETHING. Other than "Hey, Ash, looking good. Just like old times." - "Hey, Commander, welcome back, everything's in the past."
And no doubt VS is not going to give any forgiveness to Shepard for something that Shepard actually did. Because VS was already quick to condemn Shepard before Shepard even do anything.

I think this too. That would be nice. Just a -
"Sorry"
"me too."
"Cool?"
"Cool."
- situation.

If Ashley becomes an obstacle, I'll gladly take that Renegade Interrupt to remove it.
Never was a fan of her character, or understood why so many liked her. Never really got to know Kaiden, and, uh, hes dead.

Problem is only time Shepard got an email from the VS, was when the VS was the LI. Those with Liara or single got squat.Bekkael wrote...
FemShep and Kaidan will quickly work it out, then get down to serious Reaper business; they were already on that path with the email post-Horizon.

I can deal with the 'e' than the threads from yesterday that had it spelled, Kayden. That looks like a female spelling.Catastroz wrote...

Huh. I didn't know that. I've always romanced Kaidan and haven't gotten very far on my single Shep playthrough, so that's the only experience I have. That would be a bummer if you didn't get that extra little olive branch....ladyvader wrote...
