Americans who genuinely despise slavers hate Batarians. Americans who can internally respect Batarian culture can't outwardly show any mercy for slavers. Americans who openly like Batarians, are rebelling from American culture. European and African cultures may also instill similar constraints on individuals of those cultures, but I can only speak as an American.

Boy ain't that the truth. We sure like to think of ourselves as civil beings though.

Truth is, we aren't that far ahead of Batarians as far as our societal advancement goes. Just a few hundred years ago caste systems were the norm even in civilized societies here on earth (and they still exist in some places), and slavery is still alive and well, especially in places like Africa. We (as a species) are still in the process of overcoming the same traits people hate about Batarians.

Who knows how much different we might be had we gotten off our planet before we started the process, like the batarians did.

That wasn't a human, but a screw-up.  Elanos Haliat was supposed to have a turian model.  They got the voice right, but he ended up looking human.  Also, the Blitz was still encouraged and at least partly funded by the Batarian Hegemony.  As far as the latter part, we know it was batarians because both Talitha and the Codex say so:

2170 – Batarian slavers attack the Alliance colony of Mindoir.

It is often said that Skylian Blitz was Batarian attack. There were many non-batarian there.

I don't see how Mindoir attack wouldn't have non-batarians there

I was talking Mass Effect fanbase as a whole, not just this thread.

And no, Turians ain't hated nearly as Batarians, nor is any other race. Including the Reapers who are main villains in this franchise and has really big body count behind them and did far worse stuff then slavery.

Turians are still bad. Thinking they're almighty, yet the Reapers manage to kick them out of they're own planet overnight.

Not according to the in-game info.  It's always referred to as involving both Terminus pirates and batarian slavers.  But again, it was something the Batarian Hegemony was heavily involved in.  Basically, a proxy war.
