If the Hero is a Dalish elf - does Merrill or any of the Dalish in DA2 acknowledge it?
And if they do - is it just in passing or is it major?

You're welcome. I have a fully completed Dalish Warden jsut for the playthroughs where i plan on focusing on Merrill!

Merril will mention the Warden at least 3 times in conversation, maybe more depending on what story paths you end up taking.
She also has a party banter with Anders asking if he knew the Warden.
