The first mass effect had a wonderful ending song by Faunts. I was really touched by it after watching the ending. Mass Effect 2 disappointed me, I was really expecting an equally beautiful song. Wouldn't it be great to hear a fitting tune after the ending? My choice is:

Soup-She had set out to find the sun

I really think it fits the general mass effect theme. I recall hearing something about advertising the female shepard this time - then it would be just perfect! What do you people think?

If Shep dies at the end of Mass Effect 3... This: Daughtery - "Home" Imagine hearing this song play accompanied with pictures of the best Mass Effect Fanart, over the years.Images like this and such:

Would more than likely, get us all a little teared up :crying:

@Belisarius09: Are you saying that this song by Daughtry was used in Halo? I wouldn't know.I've never finished a Halo game :P

Or did I just misread your post?

Some great suggestions here! Don't worry though, the whole end sequence is getting extreme focus for music (and everything else!). Casey and I have been planning it out for months now.

Good to hear. I LOVED the first Mass Effect's ending everything was just awesome and Faunts worked really well. I was disappointed with ME2's but I can't wait for this games (if it doesn't require Origin).  Hopefully the music will work for the alt endings (if there are any).

I mentioned this earlier in a thread I think, but Mark Meer singing "My Way" would be both hilarious and oddly fitting. Obviously the decision for the end song should be left to their discretion as none of us yet know the ending. I trust they will do a good job with this.

ME2's use of the Suicide Mission Theme wasn't bad, it just wasn't really noteworthy. Hearing Faunts at the end of ME1 was basically a strange treat. In retrospect it was a pretty good fit, though I dunno if I'd say it was perfect.

Personally this is the best Credits Theme I've ever heard, seeing as how well it fit with the main game theme.

You have Clint Mansell! Don't waste him by putting in some crappy song.

That's my view anyway.

.....Am I the only one that enjoyed hearing suicide mission at the end of ME2? Idk what you guys are talking about. That song is epic! But I guess it was more epic when the base was exploding as opposed to the credits

More into this type of stuff for an ending...

or would go good when Shep arrives with a massive fleet at end starts kicking Reaper ***

this could also be a good ending

I remember that Resident Evil 2 had an extended ending, where it had a different tune when the credits rolled. Based on how you end ME3, couldn't you have a more herioc soundtrack if you end up saving the galaxy, and a darker tone in music if you fail? Like a Paragon/Renegade ending. Considering that it is the last part of the trilogy.

Synthesised vibe you say?

this
Or, I have an idea: what if the song changed whether you played paragon or renegade:)
for example, renegades could get something like www.youtube.com/watch

Sorry. Don't know if you're either being dumb or ignorant. Hard not to miss. Three up from your post.

I simply want a different themed song dependant on how you complete the game whether sad or happy, paragon or renegade, good or bad etc. Please do not use the same song for all outcomes.

You guys are aware that the music during the credits should also fit the mood of the ending and is therefor pretty much impossible to guess? It is possible that Shepard wins against the Reapers but has to sacrifice his/her LI. Shepard could be dead. Or it could be a heroic victory. Even the Reapers could wind. Probably each of these is a possible ending with its own individual nuances. It's hard enough to find something fitting knowing all the details, but going in without a clue and posting your favorite/epic song of the day won't get anyone anywhere. (it only results in insults because people disagree with each others taste, as proven by Felidae_5)

I want EDI to hack this song directly into the brains of the Reapers, like a VERY special weapon

After that, this song should become the Paragon Ending Song too. :-)

A lot of Muse songs would be very fitting.  Their song Knights of Cydonia would be my top pick, followed by Uprising

Both songs have that futuristic electro-rock vibe.  Both songs are very energetic, perfect for the credits of a game like this.  Both songs have lyrics which fit well with the theme of fighting reapers.  And well, both songs are just amazing songs period.  Either one would send shivers down my spine if it suddenly began playing when the credits rolled.  The same effect M4 Part II gave me that I thought was sadly lacking in ME2.  A fantastic, fitting credit song is a great way to add a lot more satisfaction to the end of a game.  Whatever Bioware end up doing, I hope it fits.  Metal and classic rock, I'm sorry for those of you who suggested, simply would not fit at all.  Good songs on there own, but for the credits of a Mass Effect game?  Nah.
