The fact of the matter is, I would be offended if a dude hit on me. Period. I don't want it in my game. Period. I do not want gay squadmates in rainbow armor running around and trying to group hug me. That dog don't hunt.
I do not want to offend you guys, but all he man asked for was a button at the beginning so that these options never came up for him. Thats it. Its not that hard to do. That way you can play your way, and he can play his. It is in a way, turning a blind eye to the lesbian/gay/bisexual without being offensive. You play it your way, I play it mine and no one is butthurt who does not want to be.

How convenient that there's a zillion other games out there without the Agenda's touch on them if it's so terrifying. The fact of the matter is, I would be offended if a dude hit on me. Period. Really? Well, it's not mutual.I do not want to offend you guys

You can not toggle us off...we are here..there is no button to remove us...if there was one, I would ask for one to toggle you off....

agenda.
Nice start to your post. I'm completely willing to take your arguments seriously after that.
If you want to play a certain way by ignoring optional content that doesn't apply to you, ignore the optional content. It's not that hard!
Did I enjoy being hit on by eight or nine female characters over two games, playing as maleShep? Definitely not. But do I want it filtered? No! It takes one button press to dismiss something you don't want to see.

Unwanted attention is normal, it happens, get used to it. Think of how there haven't been loud complaints saying how heterosexuality has been pushed into the faces of others. Or the Asari, what ever you think they are...

LOLOLOLOL as IF straight guys like you complained and whined for a toggle button when it was only FemShep sexing up her own gender in ME1 & ME2. That's what this is about. Blatant hypocrisy. Grow up kiddos.Tonymac wrote...

They have an agenda? OMG, what are we going to do? And all this time I tought they just wanted the same rights as everyone else. I've been a fool.
So tell me, what is this agenda composed of? Does it involve world domination?

So what your saying is....I as a female gamer can't have a femShep because Liara will hit on her? Renegade response Sha'ira and she bonks Shep with no warning, Shiala goes in for the feel up...<_<...hmmm...I couldn't find a toggle switch to turn that off, why introduce one now?...Funny thing was I lived through it unscarred *sarcasm*....Your argument fails on every level.Tonymac wrote...

Everytime straight Shepard looks in the mirror, gay Shepard will be there winking suggestively.

It's actually the absence of a toggle that caters to homosexuality. Regardless for the reasons people might not want to play the game without a toggle. Bioware owes it to their fans who supported them for the first two games to provide a toggle for their straight fans.Russalka wrote...
It has been said over and over that it acts as a censor and caters to those who find homosexuality offensive.
People can play the game however they want. On the SM people kill off Jacon, Tali, Miranda, grunt, mordin, and etc. I'm not offended, why do you feel special ? Big deal people killed Zevran, that's what happens when you don't provide people with a toggle because you want to force your sexuality in the face of those who have no interest in it.Russalka wrote...
Plenty of people were not fine with Zevran in Dragon Age, rarely Leliana, boasting on the forums how they killed him not because he wanted to assassinate the Warden, but flirted with him.
I wouldn't care if they wanted to or not but this shows you didn't read the post it had three options. Guess what they were.Russalka wrote...
I don't think a lot of people want to turn off heterosexual relationships either.People dealt with space lesbians in the previous games just fine. But suddenly, when there is the slightest possibility of a male character flirting with male Shepard, we need to have a toggle?
If the character development came as a natural extension of the story I'd have no complaints. But that's not what happened. It was added because a small but vocal part of the fanbase requested it and it was added in. It should be added in as a toggle as it wasn't a part of original character development. Do you understand now ? I'm sure you do but you'd never admit it.Russalka wrote...
If youwish toargue for the toggle because homosexual relationships "did not exist" in previous games, then what about other character developments?
Generalizations are fallicies.Russalka wrote...
Many new possibilities will probably arise in the ME3 plot with other relationships too, I imagine. Should those have a toggle to be turned off to please the people who dislike seeing new options everywhere?
Ahh yes, the flashlight blade. I dislike it, what is the possibility to play the game and not use it accidently ? Or will be handicapped because the gameplay will be centered around me using it ? I can't do loyalty missions without talking to my crew, so do I just ignore the gay teammate and get betrayed later because of it ? I'd rather talk to them and just have a way to lock out ANY LI dialog.Russalka wrote...
Plenty of people dislike the omni-blade. What option do they have? Not to use it. Maybe people who dislike gay relationships should just not pursue them either?
