2- Leliana is close to Alistair, definitely, she's so sweet, and the romance is just so... adorable. Her smirk is the cutest thing ever. :3
3- Zevran... He's only last because someone has to be, I quite liked it to be honest, especially when you ask if his gift was a token of affection, it's like the one time you actually stumble him up.
I haven't tried Morrigan yet, though, will get around to a male playthrough eventually.

So my favorite romance was the idealistic unrequited love of my assassin trying to be a better person for Alistair but continuously losing to her nature time and time again. Her friendship with Morrigan kind of defeated her at every turn but In my mind I like to believe that slowly after the end of the game she did manage to get closer to him. Events like that mentioned accompanying him to build Duncan a proper grave, generally choosing to stay with the Grey Wardens over any other party member to be with him, etc. So I take RP liberties to alter Alistair as a character to eventually see past nature and realize that beyond that he has liked her as a person, one that will begin to change, just slowly. Yeah, Morrigan is where it's at if you want an immature baby who doesn't know what to do with herself.
OH SNAP!
I find her charming when she's not defensive and prickly. I think she has a bit more complexity than Leliana, mostly because Leliana is 90% at peace with who she is, what she feels/believes, and what she wants from her life.
In the real world, Leliana > Morrigan in a heartbeat, but this is a game so I’m far more likely to appreciate someone like Morrigan, Sten, or Shale.

On my male playthrough with the actual romance she just became absurdly annoying with her constant yelling at me to break up with her, mixed with inconsistent sultry flirtations. It's just cringe-worthy once she starts refusing to have sexytime, and by the end I just wanted to laugh in her face with her proposition. She definitely has complexity, but none of it is appealing to me. She's too scared, but at the same time she's just demanding.

Like the topic says, who is your favorite partner in the game?
Mine has to be Morrigan, sure it starts out as a fling but once she falls in love with you the relationship starts to blossom, even when you can't have sex with her anymore. I also enjoy her dialogue and the way she gets insecure because you managed to make her fall in love with you, it just makes it feel more authentic. I especially like how she thought she wasn't capable of having emotions for you.
P.S. Why did you have to leave me Morrigan, why?!I will find her though, dont worry.
So discuss why you like a certain romance and discuss entertaining dialogue and such...
this, exactly this in fact, Lel I found to 'I like you, you like me *giggle* *sigh*' Morrigan felt like a 'real' relationship, complicated, sometimes painful always captivating.

Oh BTW Wynne rescinds her warning about you and your romance later on. And she does have a good 'you may part due to events beyond your control but always remember what you shared' which is good advice applicable to Leli or Morrigan.
Anyway I like Morrigan's romance the best. Mostly because she leaves in the end and it gives the ending a nice bittersweet feel that seems appropriate to this universe. [rather than zomg happily ever after lol]

Okay, wait-wait-wait...
How exactly is Morrigan like a real relationship? Just because it's complicated or isn't happy?
Here is the Morrigan relationship:
It starts out as a fling. Everybody's happy.
I can kiss her, she thinks it's romantic. When I greet her, she's sultry. Then she starts to "care" for you.
Now all of a sudden she's scared out of her mind. When I greet her, she's still sultry, when I try to kiss her, she thinks I'm beyond romantic. When I try to have sex with her she says:
"NO!! I SHOULDN'T FEEL THIS WAY!! BREAK UP WITH ME NOW!!!!!"
I say, "No, I love you..."
and she says "YOU SELFISH BASTARD!!! YOU WILL REGRET THIS!!!"
Then all of a sudden she says, "Hey, lover. Want to get me pregnant? ;)"
Um, no. No, I don't, you psychopath.
You know a lot of girls like that? You like that kind of thing? Maybe it's a guy thing.

Yes. I recall the conversation Morrigan had with Leliana where she talks about the 'bedtime' stories her mother told her about luring Chassid men to her bed and using them until they were dead and how Morrigan would do the same when she comes of age.
When it comes to sex and love, Morrigan has ISSUES. But issues that I'd just find exhausting in real life are entertaining in my games.
Then again, there's not a companion I wouldn't be interested in romancing in this game. I think my own personal thoughts and preferences go out the window when playing. While my PC is dealing with Morrigan!Angst or Alistiar!Angst, my self is mentally munching popcorn and enjoying the drama.

Morrigan's relationship is not 'real.' It's afternoon soap-opera.
I've said it before: David could make a killing if he became a Harliquen writer.

I see your point. Maybe I put too much of myself into my characters for romances. I have no trouble doing evil things as part of a character's roleplaying experience if that's who I'm playing, but romances always seem to put me in the same track. I find it virtually impossible to be mean to Leliana without immediately reloading the save to be nice.
Leliana just makes me giddy. Morrigan makes me want to kick Schmooples into the bonfire. (but at least that would make Oghren happy )

I try not think of it from a "would you do it in real life" perspective. That tends to limit your choices in these games. I mean would anyone want to be in a relationship IRL with ANY of the girls from Baldurs Gate 2? Maybe I could handle being around Jaheira if I was stoned all the time.

Want? No. Though, I could probably tolerate Aerie because she is a nice person at her core. I'd just have to get her to stop whining about her wings. In much the same way that I, were I a girl or otherwise into guys, would have to harden Alistair in the emotional sense so he doesn't whine so much.
My characters are quite different however. I dunno, maybe because I like to write, I find it easier to disassociate Facehugger the person from <Facehuggerius> or <Minsc> than some people do.

Lel is a hypocrite, and insanely annoying. She also talks to much and tries to hard to romance you. Hey, I use to be a bard/spy/manipulative murderer, but now I am extremely religious and a goody two shoes.
Morrigan is where it's at.
Morrigan was way too easy. I had her at around +60-70 after Lothering and somewhere around 80-90 before leaving the party camp for the first time.
That was my "evil" playthrough and it didn't last much longer after that. I felt pretty bad for killing Wynne in the Circle Tower.
I simply can't play evil.

Haven't done them all, but I find it hard to not romance Leiliana having done so. She's cracked in the head, but it's a very sweet cracked in the head.
LOL! To be honest, after talking with her about her "vision", I found that she is no different from many, many other people in real life. She sees something that moves her, and--based on the beliefs she already has--she thinks there is (supernatural) agency behind it that is relevant to her life. It might be deluded, but it's not crazy or even that special. Also, the PC I'm playing is no fan of the Chantry, but she and I were both touched when Leliana said she didn't think that her being a sister somehow made her "better" than anyone else and she didn't see why the Maker would communicate to man *only* through one "special", ordained group of people. That conversation really won me over to her side (though not to her specific beliefs).
