I haven't romanced Leliana yet, and I technically haven't romanced Morrigan either, even though I got the achievement in my Dalish elf rogue playthrough. (But that was mostly because I was curious to see if she'd hop in the sack with him even though he and Zev were keeping the entire camp awake every night with their antics, at least according to Wynne! She didn't seem to have any qualms--or maybe it was because her tent was way on the other side of the camp and she didn't know!)
Morrigan does not appeal to me as a character, so I probably won't go through the whole romance with her, although I agree that she's very, very well-acted! I will definitely try Leliana in some future playthrough, though.

Lel is a hypocrite, and insanely annoying. She also talks to much and tries to hard to romance you. Hey, I use to be a bard/spy/manipulative murderer, but now I am extremely religious and a goody two shoes.
Morrigan is where it's at.
Morrigan is the hypocrite, not Leli...
Leli is consistent, Morrigan just claims one thing and reacts in the opposite way. Constantly.

2. Alistair - I mean I love the guy but I'm not really a sucker for "love on first sight" sugary type of romence. If there wasn't for the twist he'd probably end up lower but as much as people complain about it imo it adds to romace's and character's complexity
3. Leliana - too religious, giggly type for me. If Morrigan was a gay choice I'd probably choose her above Lelliana any day and twice on Sunday
Have only played female so far so I cannot really comment on Morrigan's romance I love her friendship branch though - especially "Remember that you won't always like or understand my actions but I'll always regard you as friend"

Quite liked Morrigans friendship, haven't done a male character yet though to know romance. Only thing she ever did that would have really pissed my character off is slept with Alistair, and worse yet cornered my character into convincing him to do it if wanting to spare his life, keep her friendship and live to appreciate both.
Zevran is fun, I like the assassin tales and if both my characters hadn't been trying for Alistair (In vastly different ways) then I would check is out. Think it would be interesting to go for him with my male character next run.
Alistair is a very different character when you don't enter romance so he has been to entirely different people for both my playthroughs. I originally liked him more with the unrequited love attempt but in order to spice up my boring goody two shoes mage I've taught her blood magic and made her gradually edgier (Oh hi again Jowan! Remember how I sold you out for blood magic? yeah sorry 'bout that, turns out the stuff is pretty awesome) and I'm dragging him down with reaver so it's all fun times. Was happy to see he didn't leave after the urn incident despite what others have told me. We shall see how this ends soon. XP
Lel... ooohhhh dear. I hate her. A lot.
And not because of her character, I have no issue with that at all.
My first play through I didn't even know about her, they said the tavern was full I said ok cool and left her there, when it became a skull on the map and my friends asked where she went? Hahaha...
Second playthrough? Got her past 50 approve with a poor (good) choice of gift. That ended her story. I didn't hear anything from her about being a rogue or bard or anything, No events, or speeches or ability to learn bard without a book. I realized this far to late to bring her down from her 70-whatever when she had no further role in my active party, especially without making others mad at me. She didn't leave after the urn either. She had nothing to say about it at all. Wynn left, sadly, I liked her this run. (Despite killing her without regret the first run <.<) But to balance it I figured it was supposed to happen anyways so I told her to leave. A statement that she didn't even argue with at 70+ approve.

Alistair. He just makes me grin so much and they put a lot of work into that romance and it really shows. I always wanted to be able to do stuff like initiate a kiss or whatnot with a romance, and this time I could. I like how his character can change throughout the game, and I love his humour.
Zevran. I like Zev a LOT and the romance is totally different than Alistair's, which is good!, it just feels that not as much work was put into this one, which makes me sad. I want more, and it makes me sad to compare it to the Alistair romance, because part of me likes this one more and wants to see more with it, since what I CAN see I love.
I haven't had a complete romance with Leliana yet (she's almost TOO sweet for me!), maybe next time, and I'll have to go through as a male to get Morrigan. I'm really looking forward to the Morrigan romance, though. I've loved the progress to best friend/sister with her, so I'd like to see it from a romantic angle.

So if you really hate her, by the way she acts... it just prooves how very well done her character was, because that was indeed the plan. I had my frustration with her also "GOD DAMMIT GIRL, I WANNA BE WITH YOU!". But it became a personal quest to end up happy with her.
I really did everything i could to try and convince her, that we should live together forever, (and i really liked her), so when it came to the final "discussion"... i was slightly shocked... What on earth should i do...
But i "loved" her, and ofcourse would want a last night in bed with her, and i believed her when she said there would be no evil in the child. (and heck at that point i was hoping i would get some conversation options that would make me convince her to stay!).
So we had sex, and the next day before heading into the city to slay bad evil minions... we talked, and i was hoping i could convince her to stay, and her reply, ending with "my love".. aah... so unfair, and i didnt even care about the coming battles, i was just focused on following her no matter where she went!
In the end, when the Queen asked me about reward, and what i would do now, i simply said "I want nothing" - "I just want to find Morrigan..."
.. and im still searching...

It's the storyline with the strongest emoctions involved. Hope the sequel will be about chasing her.

He managed to surprise me with a relationship twice. I never thought I would fall for him, but he was sweeter than I gave him credit for. Plus, to make someone like him faithful to my character really made me happy.
Zevran is full of surprises and I can't wait for round 3, when I'm actually the one starting the relationship on purpose.

Okay, wait-wait-wait...
How exactly is Morrigan like a real relationship? Just because it's complicated or isn't happy?
Here is the Morrigan relationship:
It starts out as a fling. Everybody's happy.
I can kiss her, she thinks it's romantic. When I greet her, she's sultry. Then she starts to "care" for you.
Now all of a sudden she's scared out of her mind. When I greet her, she's still sultry, when I try to kiss her, she thinks I'm beyond romantic. When I try to have sex with her she says:
"NO!! I SHOULDN'T FEEL THIS WAY!! BREAK UP WITH ME NOW!!!!!"
I say, "No, I love you..."
and she says "YOU SELFISH BASTARD!!! YOU WILL REGRET THIS!!!"
Then all of a sudden she says, "Hey, lover. Want to get me pregnant? ;)"
Um, no. No, I don't, you psychopath.
You know a lot of girls like that? You like that kind of thing? Maybe it's a guy thing.
I liked Morrigan up until the end. On my first play through I romanced her and thought I could win her over. I remembered how she talked about how she was raised and I figured it was something the main character and Morrigan could over come by game's end. Then? The proposition happened, and I chose the angry '**** no' option and she was pissed and ran out.
I played through again and chose to accept the dark promise, and kept her ring, promising to follow her. Not because I think she's sane, or it's the sane thing to do, but because I'm convinced that's going to be the announced canon ending to the game.
I like Morrigan, up until the end, more than any of the other romances, but in a real life position I would pick Lelianna over her any day of the week.

Zevran is a nice attempt at a paradigm shift, unfortunately I just didn't like him very much.
Leliana and Morrigan both seem fine in their own way, though I hate having Morrigan disagreeing with me all the time. And Leliana looks disturbingly lot like Imoen from Baldur's Gate 2. Awkward.

I know quite a few people in general that are terrified of falling in love, and the irony of that is when they finnally do those are the relationships that actually last. Also know far to many girls like Lel wrapped up in the notion of what love should be, this romantic idea that nothing ever matches, who bounce from relationship to relationship as soon as the emotions settle down. So yea Morrigan feels more real, a more 3D view of a relationship getting to know each other then realising you actually like the person you wake up next to every chance you get way more than you wanted to, realising that you have let them inside the barriers you set around yourself, and that they could hurt you, but that they wont, and not knowing how to deal with that [ I am a manic depressive tho so that may put a slight spin on it] , rather than this unattainable ideal that lel wants.

1. Leliana - She got on my nerves at first, but she grew on me ... a lot. Wish I could break her of the religious thing a little. She's just so sweet. (though if you sacrifice yourself, the ending is, to me anyway, insanely tragic)
2. Morrigan - "Get in the tent, woman!" "Am I to be interrogated?" I know she's just playing me, but sweet Jesus. Also, she actually made me feel sorry for her, so I broke it off. Will have to tough it out next time.
3. Alister - Only because if you play human noble female and stick around to advise him, you pretty much become the real power behind the throne.

I've romanced him twice now even when I had the intention of NOT romancing him. I JUST CAN'T HELP IT!
I've also started a thing with Zevran and I'm enjoying it immensely (making sure to leave Alistair at camp as much as possible).
Sort of accidently romanced Leliana - and found her adorable. Felt bad when I had to hurt her feelings. I THOUGHT WE WERE JUST BEST GIRLFRIENDS! Sorry sweetie.

Leliana is a close second but I'm not a lesbian in real life so it was harder to get my character into it, and also shes just way too obsessed with the maker and I get annoyed by it
Zevran I don't really find that interesting, and Morrigan I only did once just for the achievement

This time around I'm still male, and a mage, but I think despite my ...reluctance, I'll try Morrigan. Perhaps I'll even indulge her little god complex scheme. And I'll let the lying b*tch Anora sit on the throne so I can skip away with my shinning knight.

Her character also feels more 'fleshed out' than the other female romance option.
The way the game ended was rather...'surprising', in relation to Morrigan.
That and I'm a Farscape fan.

Also, I call shenanigans on being nice to Leliana, but dating Morrigan, and having Lel B*TCH ME OUT for sleeping with my girlfriend. Just no. It's not right. Even if I'm rude as possible when Lel tries to confess her feelings for me. It's not fair! >_<
