Can any male human noble who married Anora comment on it? Does it actually count as a "romance", or is it more of a "this will be beneficial to our mutual political power" arrangement?

It's Anora we're talking about. She's probably nearly as emotionnally stunted as Morrigan, with twice the ego and pretentiousness, and uptight rather than carnal.
She has not had a children in five years while married to a young man. That probably tells about what kind of romance she is :P

It's precisely her Ice Queen demeanor that makes a romance option a little intriguing ; ). Alas, the Landsmeet would not accept a dwarfen consort...it's too bad I didn't know to mention it when I was freeing half of them from Arl Howe's dungeon...

I ended up marrying her to Alistair, and it was clear who wore the pants in that relationship.

I've only done Leliana and Morrigan so far, here are my impressions.

Leliana makes you feel good, maybe alittle too childish but good nonetheless.

Morrigan strikes you at first as the seductive type but quickly slams into a wall of emotional retarded-ness that leaves you with a bad case of blue balls.

Morrigan's, even though it ends as it does. It's nice to see a bit more realism injected into the same stale romance sub-plots that have been around for the last two generations of RPGs. Sometimes duty is more important than individual desire and it's nice to see writers acknowledge that.

Reality is hardly ever "...and they lived happily ever after."

^^^ You make a fine point. What are Biowares intentions with DA?

Book? Sequel? I'd like to know what happens next.

I liked Morrigan most becouse she was Intelligent, Polite and independent and I like the fact that I have a feeling that I have the romance with Morrigan who is more than a average person becouse she is capable of making plans and plots that really turn the world around. Its propably becouse I like capable and strong women in real life too that I enjoy her a most in romance options.

In that part were you are stuck in the veil Morrigan is only character that realize that she is stuck in the veil where all other seem to beleve in the illusination that demons give and you need to convince them otherwise.

Leliana is my second option.

Those male option seem to be fun especially Zevran but still heterosexual options are more for me.

Morrigan. No question. Best romance in any game ever largely because she isn't cookie cutter.

Awww ... Is there no love for sweet Iona ??? ;)

Playing noble female on first run through, and could not resist chatting up 'sweet' Iona for my last night in the castle... Sad she gets run through so early on...

I preferred Morrigan to Leliana, as she seemed to have the more believable personality.

I tried her, too, as a female PC (and Dairren on another run). But... as I am a conservative - not the American meaning - chick, it just felt better to me being a nice and chaste noble daughter - virginity was a big deal to noble marriages in the middle ages (at least in the public). Image IPB Unfortunately, I am not into affairs and the Iona and Dairren characters still are too shallow when the encounter happens. (Of course, it is the prologue.) Maybe I will be promiscious on my next run. Seducing Dwyn in Redcliffe and so on...

I tried Leliana last playtrough, but apparently screwed it up some way since i never saw the notorius underwear show (100% Care?). Now i'm playing as a female human noble, trying Alistair, and become a queen too, while i'm at it :D
