Am I missing anything? Is there any way to 'corrupt' Wynne so that she stays in your party even if you stray off the Lawdull Good path? I REALLY want to play an all-mage + Leliana party on my first playthrough - but it looks like I have to forget any role-playing and just meta-play if I want to have any degree of reassurance Wynne doesn't walk out on me.

It's not the problem of Wynne having a personality. It's the problem of the party having only two mages, one of them having Wynne's personality and the other Morrigan's. Yes, I refuse to get over the fact that the party has 5-6 frickin' melee fighters, because it's daft.

[/rant]

Any solid info on Wynne changing her mind?

If you keep your companions happy enough with you, they won't up and leave unless they really dislike another companion. That's the real problem for your plan. Supposedly you must eventually choose between Wynne and Morrigan.

I wouldn't be surprised to see BioWare include a complete make-over to pure bad-assery and evilness. But... I wouldn't know, in all honesty.

Yeah, and that would kinda suck if you are not a mage.  You'll be down to one mage in your party.  There has to be a way to keep them both.

I can understand what you mean. So unless there is a way tomake everyone at least tolerate each other, not sure what to tell you.

You cannot corrupt Wynne. She's a white lighter.

Well if a White Lighter can fall in love with a witch and have uber-powerful babies then we should be able to keep Wynne and Morrigan from giving us ultimatums. :pinched:

No, you don't. You can keep them both in your party. One may be a lot happier with your actions than the other, but they'll stay.

I want my specialization in blood magic and from what I've read if Wynne finds out she leaves. Should be fun trying to hide this from her.

Wynne seems to have three potential crisis moment's throughout the game. In the “Urn of Sacred Ashes” quest, Wynne will turn against you if you decide to destroy the ashes, just as Leliana will. You will have to fight them and kill them if they are in the party. During the “Broken Circle” quest, on the fourth floor of the tower, Cullen will suggest that killing all the mages in the tower is the only way to fix things. If you side with Cullen, Wynne will leave the party for good and fight you to the death. Later, if you reveal that you are a blood mage (or accepted the blood mage specialization from the desire demon in the Fade), Wynne will also turn against you.

So my advice would be in these situations, you MUST side with Wynne, even if it pisses off Morrigan, because Morrigan will not leave but Wynne will.

They really should have added another female party member into the mix I think so that you could do an all nasty female party. As Ailith mentioned, the sad thing is you'll probably have to metagame a bit unless you can come up with plausible reasons why you would do certain things.

The broken circle sequence, would be interesting to see what Morrigans' response will be if you don't side with cullen.

The blood mage incident can easily be avoided by picking 2 of the other specialisations... (arcane mage and shapeshifting perhaps), which then just leaves it to the ashes. From what I gather one of the reasons for destroying them is to stop the darkspawn getting them. So I suppose you could go on the basis that you don't care if they get them or not.

Whilst I know you can 'harden' Alastair it would be even more fun if could really corrupt him too and just like with Anora and Cailan, you could be the true dominant power of Ferelden :D

That was a rationale made up for a demo to avoid spoiling the real reason for destroying them.

(Though you can choose to have your character believe that, I suppose.)

There is an actual reason behind it?

Good to hear. To not be disappointed later I assumed it was just a throw-a-bone Dark Side option.

Yeah, rule number one, don't use Blood Magic if you've got Wynne in your party... I would LOVE to know, however, what Wynne will do if I give the BM specialisation to Morrigan instead of the PC  Hopefully there's a way to get the specialisation and keep the strict old woman from flipping out.

Get off my lawn! Damn desire demons...

I imagine either she'll go nuts on Morrigan or nuts on you for allowing a blood mage in the group. Either way I guess you might get a choice as to whom you side with.

As for the reason about the ashes, am actually now looking forward to it, specially as the other rationale for that situation was that they wanted to turn the place into a 'disneyland', guess should've realised by that comment that something wouldn't be right about the other choice

I didn't really think of this before but I wanted to specialize in blood and healing, that might be kinda difficult though lol.

So there's no way to get the blood mage specialization and keep Wynne in the first playthrough? If thats so then damn there goes my triple mage party :s

I don't understand the talk of "needing to metagame" and "not being able to roleplay."

I'll be roleplaying a character that is willing to make compromises to keep companions happy...don't most people do this in real life?

So the question is can we destroy the Urn of Sacred Ashes and still keep Wynne?

Which you can ride to a small island in the northeast to get the strongest spell in the game. The spell can destroy a Darkspawn Ogre with a single casting, but the animation takes 1 minute and 15 seconds to run its course.

After being the Lawful good paladin (two-handed human noble champion), I think my second walkthrough will be a blood mage who aims to be a "Napoleon". I shall conquer of the world! It will be fun to kill Wynee, Whaaaaaa!

Has it been confirmed that Wynne will turn against you / leave, if you have the blood magic specialization, *not matter how you get it*?

For example, if you have unlocked the blood magic specialization on one play through, and then pick it as you specialization in an alternate playthrough, without even going to redcliffe, will Wynnne *still* leave?
