I'm wanting to play Mass Effect in windowed mode, but I was hoping for a borderless windowed mode. The problem with the current windowed mode is that when you go to desktop and then back to the game, the Windows taskbar doesn't go away. So of course this causes a problem because when I bring the mouse down too low, it'll hit the taskbar. The house won't go to my second monitor, but i'll go to my taskbar. I've seen people say they can play in borderless windowed mode, but I see no way to accomplish this.
Specs:
1080p monitor
Radeon HD 6800 GPU
12g DDR3 RAM
I've also tried double clicking the window bar, there is no "maximising" function for the window.

ME1 doesnt natively support borderless window mode, only ME2 does.
That said, you can try editting the Bioengine.ini file manually, located under;
My Documents\\Bioware\\Mass Effect\\Config
I havent tested it out, but you could try adding the value BorderlessWindow=True under either the [WinDrv.WindowsClient] or [SystemSettings] sections.
