I dunno, the Gears community may have the crown for at least a week. Turns out Epic/Microsoft is charging for weapon skins that were already on the disk and that everyone assumed would be free. Seeing as they're on the disk.

I looked at an official Call of Duty forum once (back when I had no taste). Dear Lord, made BSN/Bungie look like the happiest places on Earth.

I think BSN is honestly the only place I've seen where Xenophilia is considered normal though

As far as gaming forums go. I've had far fewer GTFO's here then just about anywhere else. Mostly just general sites like gamespot or 1up. Most people are pretty reasonable and even critics on this site are good convo every now and then. The xbox forums are pretty good but they crash alot

Ever been around the gamespot forums? A gaming board much worse than BSN.

Or shall I introduce you to the chan boards? Keep in mind they themselves are not even the worse on the internet while you read them.

The bioware forums are average. If you think they are the worse, count yourself lucky you havn't been on the internet that long.

Reminds me of that time I was searching the internet for opinions on the Gears novels, to see if they were any good. Against all logic, I eventually came across a topic where the OP asked how good they were compared to the ME novels, where people to my surprise responded with saying that those and the ME story in general sucked in comparison...

And while we may **** and moan about pretty much everything, there are much worse online gaming communities: just take a look at the Nintendo and Square-Enix fanbase, and then especially the Zelda and Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts sections of those. There's no arguing with those people.

You want to see the complete destruction of a community though?

Turn back the clock to C&C4 announcement and watch the forums for the next several months.

You have never, ever, seen fans, mods and developers destroy each other like that. It was remarkable.
