Please, this place isn't anything super special.
It's Regular, i've seen worse *Cough*4Chan*Cough*, in fact, i've yet to see a good one.

I will give them this though, it often seems like Half people here Hate Mass Effect 2.
.... Of course many people here hate Dragon Age 2 aswell, but that's like, a Different Thing altogether, COMPLETELY Different.

That Weekend Web thing goes to show how this place is scary. They missed stuff like the real Fornax however.

We're very high up on the creepiness scale but not everybody here is an ******* which is different from most places.

The sanest and most civil forums I've ever been on would have to be Kerberos Productions forums.
They don't feel like the rest of the internets.

That said, some forums do take the cake for being weird, creepy and downright insane. That's useually forums with rabbid fans or haters, Extermists of any kind are earie. Altough the fans usually make my skin crawl more... the levels of denial and sick and be incredible....

The PSN forums was one of the best before they updated it into that awful layout. If you can take some... I mean a lot of Sony worshipping they have some pretty cool things on there. The RPG forums, though, are almost dead.

I like this forum because people don't go crazy if you mention games like Fallout, Planescape, and Alpha Centauri. Those posts in the somethingawful weekend web is a part of the forum I wouldn't want to accidently find myself, though.

Yeah, this is probably the worst community after youtube.

BSN isn't even close.  It's actually one of the better communities in general, although it is a bit overcritical of its "parent company" as it were.

The BSN is generally pretty tolerable with the exception of a few topics and posters. Most of the time you're able to have a relatively civil discussion.

But at least you can avoid those threads (and thus preserve your eyesight) - in certain other forums, the only way to avoid seeing such horrors (among many other kinds) is to simply not go there.

In all seriousness though, I've been to dozens, perhaps hundreds of forums all across the Internet - and BSN is pretty lightweight compared to most of them. Take my word for it.

Since it's already ressurected I guess it can't hurt for me to contribute at this stage. There are indeed far worse places on the net though. BSN is pleasent compared.

O_o I don't really go to any of the fan threads save the MLP and very rarely the Femshep one. Which threads encroach on furry territory? Because that's a little disturbing to hear.
