Samara might just kill us for swatting a fly. I dunno, the Justicar code is pretty backwards.Skullheart wrote...

Meh.
Her story is sort of "over". Her kids are all dead now, she told her story, now she continues to be a Justicar until she dies. Good character, sure, but what more can you add?
Too many biotics as of late anway.
Actually, now that I think about it, it seems that way for most ME2 characters, with exception of the DLC ones.

Nope. The other two daughters are alive and well and non-homocidal.

You are correct. It would be nice to run into Samara's other children in ME3.didymos1120 wrote...

Or hacking a wall-safe. Call me crazy but I actually felt a little safer with Morinth on board.
Samara's other problem was that she was redundant in just about every way. Her skills were redundant (Throw and Pull, Reave isn't functionally real different from Warp, Warp Ammo, AP Ammo), her trained weapons were redundant (AR/SMG) and her character itself was redundant (warrior-monk type of individual, I found her to be A LOT like Thane in just about everything but career). Shoot, there were a couple times when Thane and Samara's dialogue lines were basically identical.
I'll say this, though: I much rather get Samara back than Liara!

Every squadmate's dialogue is basically identical all over the game. "We could just knock her out and take her." etc. But also, she doesn't gun down people for jaywalking, remember the line, "Once a Justicar is involved, all peaceful solutions are long past." Not to mention the fact that even IF you "make her do dishonorable things," at the end of ME2 she states that she will subert the code and do everything she can NOT to meet you in the future because the code would force her to kill you.

So, if we accidentaly met her on ME3 she will have a fight to death with us?

Her story is over, so even though I really liked her, it seemed pretty clear to me that she wouldn't be playing a large roll in ME3. Same with Thane and Mordin, whose lifelong conflicts seemed to finally be resolved. And I don't think we'll see much more of Kasumi or Zaeed, either--again, I liked them, but they felt like "background" characters.Zakatak757 wrote...

Actually, now that I think about it, it seems that way for most ME2 characters, with exception of the DLC ones.
But Jack, Tali, Miranda, Jacob, Grunt, Legion, and Garrus really jumped out at me as characters who could grow a lot more. I mean, think about it: Jack and Grunt have only just begun to understand who they are and where they came from. Miranda changes a lot over the course of ME2, but where does that leave her? Legion is constantly evolving and changing, plus didn't have much screen time. Jacob didn't get a chance to develop, and Tali and Garrus, while they did grow a lot and face some serious challenges, don't feel like they fully matured yet. Their confidence in themselves has been deeply shaken, and they still need something to kick them off from their dependency on Shepard.
Okay, Grunt and Legion are on the fence. It's hard to make that call.
Meanwhile, Wrex and Liara feel like they've found that maturity (post-LotSB), hence I didn't expect either one to be a squadmate again until I remembered Liara was the only veteran that was 100% alive in all saves. Ashley and Kaidan? Although we got to know them very well in ME1, they were fairly (but not completely) static, plus Horizon left a big ol' dangling conflict that begged for resolution.
