So i was wondering you know that at the start of mass effect 2 that if you carried on a saved file over from mass effect 1 you were able to change class even though if in mass effect 1 you were lets say a soldier and you could change it at the beginning of mass effect 2 to lets say a vanguard. So my question is if you carry over a saved file to mass effect 3 will you be able to change your class at the start of the game?

ok thanks dude i was panicking because in mass effect 2 i chose a class that i didn't really like that much and i didn't particularly want to be that class again in mass effect 3 and i haven't read any where that you can change your class so i was getting worried. i wonder how they're going to do the whole appearance/class change thing again? like in the second one you were able to change class and appearance because shepard got killed so i wonder how they're going to play it out this time?ZenJestr wrote...

maybe if it is real i definitely wont get it because i've been a different class in mass effect 1 and 2 and i plan on choosing a different class in mass effect 3

They won't put achievements in the game that rely on other games to be unlocked, that is unless they also put alternate methods of unlocking said achievements that only require ME3.
It looks like you will retain some bonuses that you otherwise wouldn't for keeping your class the same between ME2 and ME3. Changing your class will not reset your level, but it will likely cost you other bonuses (credits, morality, resources, who knows?).
