Is the Vault in it's final death throes? I can't upload AGAIN. It's saying the temporary folder for uploads is missing. I get the feeling IGN are withdrawing support for NWN1 gradually.

You have missed the multiple posts regarding this in various other threads.

No, the Vault is not dying, it is actually GROWING, and being moved to a new set of physical servers, during this process, at various times, different pieces of the vault will be down. But Maximus and BeyondThePale are working hard to get the new system up and running as quickly as they can. Remember, NWN is not the only game supported by the Vault in general, and that it is NOT on a single computer type of system, but a large server array. It takes a heck of a lot of effort to move things. Be patient, and, if you really feel it necessary, send an email to BtP and/or Maximus and ask them the status. If/When they have time, they will respond.

Thank goodness for that. As you said I hadn't come across any news on it and let my imagination run away with me... I've just got so used to the vault's normally faultless reliability I suppose. Panic over.

To be quite honest, the other day I went to bed crying my eyes out, as I've noticed every day there are less and less contributions uploaded. I thought to myself:

-Manly man, this is it, this is the end. Once Prophet III comes out, it will be the end of NWN, so you'd better get yourself a life by then, cause reflecting on the time you've spent playing and modding this, you'll want to kill yourself... again.-

Maximus was promoted, Beyond the Pale took Maximus old job.

The "Vault" is a sub entitie of IGN Entertainment, it is NOT the parent company, nor the largest piece of said company.  Go figure that someone can get a promotion?

Would it be an idea to upload new stuff to one of those sharing services and post the links in a dedicated thread here? That way people can showcase their things, generate some comments, and upload even nicer content when the Vault's online again.

I'm kinda hoping (after the overhaul - I know they are too busy now) this revamp will give me access to my old stories on the vault. Apparently my original account was deleted around '06 :-( So I can neither edit nor remove old stuff :-P
