Greetings! I've finally started building a module that I've been planning for the past few years. It will be larger in scope than my previous mods, and will be set in the Dalelands of the Forgotten Realms.
The mod will be called Legends of the Dalelands, and is based on my experiences with a PW of the same name back in 2006. The PW is no longer in operation, but some of my best fun with NWN2 was on that server. I'm expanding a plot line I ran as a DM for the PW's players and making a single player adventure out of it. Players who remember the server may recognize some of the NPCs and companions.
I plan on building the mod myself, but I'm sure I'll need to call on the community for help/advice from time to time. You can follow my progress here.

Good to hear you have something on the go Jezla, if it is of the standard of your other work then I am up for playing (and tesing if you need it).
Are you shelving the short mod concept for this?

No, I still plan on building more mini-mods, but the idea for this project has been kicking around for a while, and I actually went to the trouble of writing design docs for it! I'm trying to decide which mini-mod will be next in the story; I've got two good ideas, just not sure which one will work best.

Sounds like it will be to my taste. Hopefully lots of snow.

I've often thought about single player modules adapted from PWs. I think it's a good idea, good luck with it!

Hey Jezla,
I haven't played your earlier mods, but I did use your Sharpstone Village pre-fab. So I know your area design is high quality.
Dalelands are a great location to adventure in. Look forward to hearing more about this project.
Harumph!

Dorateen, you should play them. They only take a minute! (literally)

Lol Humble Beginnings is shorter than my pre-game lobby, you sure you can't combine a few of these?

Once I get them all done, I'll probably combine them into a campaign. They're designed to be played in between other, longer adventures.

I like the separate mini-modules. They remind me of the serialised fiction popular in the Victorian Era.

To be fair, your pre-game lobby is rather ambitious...

rjshae - thanks for posting that, it's a good idea. I'd forgotten those old games!

screenies!

Check the project page for screenshots. As yet, I only have an in-progress screen of Shadowdale, for which I have used Marcus Schlegel's excellent prefab. More screenshots will come as I progress through the build.

Not much progress lately, what with medical treatments for my son, then the MB on my PC crashed and had to wait a week to get it fixed. Mostly I've been building toons for the NPCs.

Good that you are getting some done though
Sorry to hear about your son. I hope all goes well for him and you.

Well, I've made some good progress the last couple of days. I've gotten Jamble's Eye (a specialty shop), and Weregund the Trader (general store) interior areas built. Next up is the Tower of Ashaba and Morningdawn Hall. Once all the areas for Shadowdale are built, I'll start placing generic NPCs and the shopkeepers.

Weren't those areas already done for the PW? Or did they go missing once it stopped to operate?

I don't have anything from the PW except for the builder's base mod, which doesn't have any areas, just bueprints. I emailed the old PW boss a while back and asked him for his stuff, but he never responded. I think he ditched gaming altogether.
In any event, this project is more of an homage to the old PW (an the fun I had on it), than an attempt to re-create it in SP form.

Wasn't there a daleland's builder base prefab uploaded to the vault about 6 months ago? It was uploaded as a module and not a prefab. You can check modules around 6 months ago and see if you can find it.

I looked it up, but there were no files associated with the entry. It was basically an advertisement to apply to the server as a builder.
