Like everyone,  I am trying to make an interesting story for my shep. I like to play renegade, get the job done kinda play. Problem is, what do you think would make the most interesting story for ME3?

1. All Renegade Endings (Council Dead, Base Destroyed, etc)
2. A Mix. (Save the Council, Keep the Base / Kill the Council, Destroy the Base)

I want to make a play through that would make the most people mad at my Shepard. If I save the Council, I would not take the spectre status again (Thus Carrying on the renegade tradition, and more fighting witht he council! (YAAAY)),  If I killed the council, Id take it. If I save the council and keep the base, it would be more of a fallen hero story. I was once goody goody but now, Im more evil and hope the council will hate me!

Only reason i like the council is due to the turians. The Asari and Salarians can seriously go die in a fire.

All and all, I want to make a story that seems less, "Canon / Default". If its like the ME2 Default, Keeping the Base Is going to be default and I would like to avoid a 2fer on the major cannon choices.

Ideas?

A mix is more fun.

the default ME2 canon has the council killed and ash as your LI, i can't see anything paragon in that. i never got to see if wrex was dead or not as i only wanted to see what the default was at the start in regards to the council.
as far as the council and the base being your major decisions they're not exactly as cut n dry as para/rene choices, more anti alien/pro unity choices as the base has you choosing to follow cerberus in all their pro human glory or chosing to protect the galaxy.
as far as the council goes it's much the same thing, by what your teamates say it's actually a choice between saving humans or again protecting the galaxy and neither of those seem particular renegade to me.
to me you can be totally renegade and pro alien as i find the 'smaller' choices more important as far as that goes, i mean you don't get points for either of those decisions, it just sets up the story different, know what i mean?
i like to run just slightly more to one side as that is realistic to me and i like realism, but after my rene femshep killed the council i went back and changed it as it set the story up all wrong and people were making assumptions i wasn't happy with, like wanting humans in power etc. when in fact my rene femshep was almost anti human.

any ways long post lol but short answer is i'd suggest looking at those bigger situations from a different angle and maybe think about the smaller ones as more defining.

OK, it's not canon.  It's just the default.  Also, Ash isn't your LI.  What it is is that if you're on PC/360 and you don't have Genesis installed, then the game picks who survived Virmire and who will appear in the prologue based on Shep's sex.  If male, you get Ash.  If female, you get Kaidan.  But that's as far as it goes.  The default is actually no LI at all.  If you're on the PS3 or do have Genesis, then Liara always appears in the prologue because Genesis plays after that and allows you to both pick your LI and decide who survived Virmire.

the story of ME2 has to have a default canon or at the beggining you'd be hit with all the decisions of ME1 so as to build the story but instead we're given a story, so we can safely assume that a fresh start is the default caonon as it's not randomised but as you said specific for each platform. whether or not it's a canon the devs or players like it's an obvious starting point to say that this is the default story now play with it, don't you think?

I have two playthroughs, one Male Renegade and one Female Paragon. I pretty much tried to keep them true to that. My Renegade I actually said "Let the Council Die" and admitted to to Anderson and Udina that I let them die so that humans could take over (Anderson was like OMG WTF are you insane"). My Paragon I saved the council and when I go back to talk to them I politely remind them how many humans died for them, and they... respond like true politicians. Oh and my Renegade slept with the Asari Consort, romanced Ashley, then he slept with Jack (renegade option, didn't romance her) then romanced Miranda. Total womanizing jerk. LOL. My female Paragon I romanced Liara and actually avoided talking to the male crew members much to make 100% sure I didn't accidentally get pulled into romance with them (something very easy to do)

Wow, your male Shepard really is a womanizing jerk! Sounds hilarious to play as, though.
