Sten is my favorite male companion. Badass is every sense of the word.

I didn't use him much in my Human Noble playthrough (there wasn't any room with my warrior, his best friend/surrogate brother Alistair, his love Leliana, and their healer Wynne), but I've made it a point to include him ASAP in my current playthrough, in which my Warden is more pragmatic and less idealistic (though not necessarily evil). I just now got the Sword of the Beresaad quest, looking forward to completing it again and seeing how Sten develops from there through the rest of the game.

That's the problem, he really doesn't. Once the sword is retrieved, that's it.

I haven't used Sten much, but he does have approval of my Female Elf Mage. We have interesting converstations in camp. My regular party consists of Wynn, Allistair, and Morriggan. However, there is this dragon I saved for my warriors to train on.
