You can only dream about it. Exile and Revan kick-boxing on Ebon Hawk!

Nope. Obsidian get on this please. Gamers NEED a console sequel to KOTOR II.

From what I have seen of the MMO, it seems every class gets some kind of healing.
Really what is the point of the different classes or having parties if they can all do the same thing?

As an aside, if Bioware not going to do it, then I reckon Bethesda should do KoToR 3. 8-)
This of course will take a few years or decades, but would be worth it if given a fairly free rein.

we have to make Bioware understand that we want like crazy KOTOR 3 and not TOR! it's THAT simple! even if one person who works in Bioware reads this post, i'm telling you CANCEL the production of Star Wars The Old Republic. IT IS NOT WHAT WE, THE PEOPLE YOU ARE TRYING TO SELL THE GAME TO, WANT!! WHAT WE WANT IS Knights Of The Old Republic 3, aka KOTOR 3!! This game you are making now will be your disaster. remember my words. your company will crumble, unless you meet the expectations of your clients, who, in this case is all us who tell you that over and over again!!! Make KOTOR 3 and for God's sake, abandon this farce. for your own profit!!!

well said masterchieftis. we all want a Kotor 3 and Bioware knows it, and then they dare to say that they listen to their fans, but they just listen to their new overlords: EA. They're not the company they used to be now they're not different from the others companues, even worse in some aspects

Once again, KotOR 3 isn't Bioware's call to make. Lucas Arts has to sign off on a KotOR 3. If Lucas Arts doesn't want to make a third game, there won't be a third game.

I'm not certain that we would base any business decision on any individual post on the forums, regardless of how passionate and certain it is. And while we listen to our fans, that means we listen to ALL of them, not just the ones with a certain point of view. Even then, we are not obligated to agree with or follow through on any suggestions, demands, or decisions made by those fans.

So it's all right to want us to make a KotOR 3. It's totally all right to suggest or ask us to make a KotOR 3. It is NOT okay to demand that we drop everything to make you a KotOR 3. It is especially not okay to demand we do something for you and then insult us all in one go. So please, no more of that nonsense, all right?

I didn't mean to offend anyone, but seriously do you think kotor's fans wanted a MMO that ends any possibility of continuing the story of revan instead of a proper sequel? I'm pretty sure they all wanted a continuation of the story, and you guys know it.
I know it's not entirely your fault as is Lucas Arts who owns the rights, but I think you shouldn't sell it as some kind of sequel, because it isn't.
Once again I'm just giving my opinion, no need to get angry about it

I am quite excited by the coming SWTOR series of stories, and am content that the MMO will be a worthy successor to KOTOR. The NDA keeps me from speaking of the experience, but after a couple of beta weekends, I am also quite curious as to where the storyline of my choice is headed.

One should see for themselves before leaping to conclusions. These are the people that brought us KOTOR, after all; who better to keep the dream soaring besides them and the same Player?

I'm unlikely to get TOR so I hope so! Not that I dislike the concept of TOR, it does sound like there's a lot of effort being put into it, but I don't have PC that's optimised for gaming. I'm a console peasant.

I would think that BioWare and Lucasarts would have a much better and clearer understanding of what people want than a regular gamer would. Keep in mind that a bunch of KotOR fans posting on the KotOR forums may have a much different viewpoint than other players elsewhere on the internet and in the world.

Star Wars: The Old Republic is not being sold or marketed as a sequel to BioWare's Knights of the Old Republic game. It is a different game for a different audience.

No one is posting angrily, as far as I can see. But if you're "giving your opinion," you should be prepared for other people to disagree with you.

ok, stanley you made a point. I apologize if I've been too harsh. I'm sure the old republic will be a great game but it's just that I would have prefered a continuation on the story of revan, but i guess I'll have to give a try to TOR at least

Actually, it kinda is. It rides all over KOTOR's legacy, reputation and popularity, the devs keep saying how it is KOTOR 3, 4, 5, 10 all in one etc and the official website is full of KOTOR mentions and connections.

Personally, I think that TOR takes away any interest in a KOTOR 3 for me. Clearly, the Exile and Revan fail to make a significant difference in the grand scheme of things because of what happens in TOR.

I'd honestly prefer a complete re-do of KOTOR. Revan's story given the treatment it deserves.

There is precident for remakes: Monkey Island, Halo: Combat Evolved, Prince of Persia, rumours of a Jade Empire re-do...
