Hi

I run a NWN2 PW called Wulverheim and I've recently bought a new modem/router called a TP-Link 8816.  I'm having issues trying to get it to port forward for NWN2, because despite me setting it up, my players cannot connect to my server.

So far I've tried the method as shown here http://portforward.c...er_Nights_2.htm

I've even tried disabling the firewall, which makes no difference.  I've never had this issue with my previous NetComm modem.

I contacted the manufacturer and here is their final answer:

“For your requesting, you know, you need to sign a static IP address of your Neverwinter Nights 2 game and this static IP address should be in the same subnet of 192.168.1.1(the default IP address of the TD-8816) which can be 192.168.1.50 or 192.168.1.51, etc.
 
As for how to sign an static IP address such as 192.168.1.50 for your Neverwinter Nights 2 game, because we are not familiar with it, you can ask the technician of Neverwinter Nights 2 game to help you do that.

Assign a static IP for the Neverwinter Nights 2 game?  Does anyone know how I would do that?

It's okay, I've resolved it a slightly different way. I needed to specify my DNS server in the network settings and for the modem I needed to specify the servers own Default IP Address for NWN2 to use.
