I get what OP says, keep the futuristic look but swap in there one or two recognizable buildings and places so we get the idea it really is earth and not some garden world

And we already have that, remember the first trailer for ME3? You can clearly see Big Ben and the Eye of London.

Well didn't the EarthBorn background say you grew up in the MegaCitys, so where are my MegaCitys.

In the screenshot?  That's one part of a megalopolis formed by the fusion of Seattle and Vancouver.

So where's thebottom slum at? All I saw down there was a river.

a trailer is a trailer, gameplay is gamplay. I'd rather have something I like ingame then in a trailer if I can.

FINALLY, and honest answear.

Im gonna finish here, continue who wants to continue.

What makes that an honest answer? Your method of arguing is quite befuddling.

You make lots of threads and posts that are loaded full of opinion yet when others want to engage you in such discussions you disregard any sense of logic or evidence that runs contrary to your preconceived notions. If you don't want to have arguments, don't start them.

It'd be ****ing awesome if they put in a two tier city in ME3, like Heng Sha. I know that seemed unrealated but you saying bottom slum made me think of Heng Sha.

Yeah, just like everhyone else in the BSN. When was the last time you saw two people with conflicting opinions get along around here?

I don't think you're getting what you want already, as the Earth demo demonstrates. Too late to ask them to change it to suit your personal desires (of which I am having a hard time figuring out because you keep changing your mind on what you actually want). Chances are we won't see a lot of Earth anyway and the parts we will see will be war zones. If you want to go sightseeing, checking out slums, whatever.. I'd recommend going on vacation.

What are you talking about? Big Ben is obviously not iconic to London or anything.

Look at the video of "Fall of Earth". The entire city is divided by a river, and it doesn't have any slums. It's not a megatropolis, it's a plain city with shiny buildings.

It's not hard, most of my friends have different opinions from me and we get on just fine because we're mature adults that recognise the value in having different ideas and values. Of the 91 friends on my friends list, not a single one of them agrees with me all the time. If you don't want to have discussions, don't have them but don't try to derail every topic (or antagonise people in ones you have started) just because you can't stand the way the rest of the community views things. You have a very combative attitude and you don't value facts or logic. Just how far do you expect to get with a conversation?

If it's too late to argue about something, the ME3 forums should be closed down considering al threads relate to bickering and hate.

And I do know what I want. I want a realistic city that looks like it was actually made by humans.

You can't see an entire city in a single video, slums are usually hidden away anyway because nobody wants to notice them. They're not attractive places. Why would a video show the poor areas when the shiny buildings are more interesting and eye-catching? Use your imagination a bit.

Slums are the undercity, Like Hensha. Would the move the old buildings to top level or have them domed and sealed off from the disenfanchaised.

Oh yes, pretty and shiny, pretty and shiny. Hey, Miranda is prettier then Garrus, let's replace Garrus with Miranda!

Threads only devolve into those topics when posters like you provoke everyone.

As for buildings that look like they were built by humans, for the millionth time, humans use mass effect technology in the year 2186 just like every other civilised species in the galaxy. That's why their buildings will look so similar to everybody else's. That's not to say there won't be variation or some old buildings still lying around but to expect Earth to look the same as the year 2011 is just not realistic. There's new technology to use, things change. There are still slums and impoverished areas but they are covered up and hidden from the casual observer, that's not too hard to understand.

So the OP is juding that Earth is not too "Earthly" through a few screenies and videos we've seen of like 3 citys?

Am I missing something?

I'm still trying to work out what "Earthly" means, I'm fairly certain it doesn't mean whatever the OP thinks it means.

How do you define if something is "earthly", anyway?

@ThePwener you have quite the indepth vision of how you expect Earth to look.  I really doubt Bioware with the constraints they have will be able to match what you explicitly seem to want.

Thats not to say it doesnt exist.  But including all these areas (like slums) ingame will be a vast undertaking. Additionally we only seen a few shots of Earth so far.  Im sure we will spend a lot of time there so there bound to be other areas. Personally I feel your fretting over something you shouldnt be. ME3 was always going to stay in keeping with the established art style the game has created.
