On that subject, most people call that movie great. I hated it. So much...

@Weedyfun...you hate pot? With that name =O

Read the title of the thread.

Doh confused it with the opposite thread. Don't care for drinking myself but pot has always been apart of my life.

Cerberus and the 'Illusive man' ...could they have come up with a more ridiculous title?

I was laughing the first time I heard "The Illusive Man." Little did I know he'd become one of my favorite video game characters.

It was a landmark film. That did not save it from being one of the most boring movies I have ever seen. The whole story could have been condensed into a forty-five minute television special. What made 2001 great had nothing to do with its plot. :pinched:

(1) Gymnastics. I'm an amateur, but a damn good one.

(2) classical music. 90% of what I listen to.

(3) Math. It's FUUUUUUUUUN!

(4) Eating raw food. Fish, beef, crustaceans, mollusks, you name it. If it's eaten raw at some parts of the world, then I'd enjoy it raw. Octopus tastes best when it is still wriggling, you know...

I couldn't get more than 10 minutes into it. I'll have to try another time. I also couldn't get into Arthur C. Clarke. I don't doubt his mastery, it's just not for me.

Hehe, there's some wonderful mainstream music. I just listen to anything I like the sound of though, it confuses people when they see my iPod and Megadeth are there next to Justin Bieber and Nobuo Uematsu... :P

Hmm, good question... I hate many things that most people like... but the reverse...! As a misanthrope, it's already tough to list things I like so if I have to categorize too... :) Here are a few I can think of :

- I like girls with a very big nose.
- Many offbeat, absurd, simplistic comedies that people regard as lowbrow, I regard as pure genius.
- the Fade in DA:O.
- other stuff.

@Volus : (I think I saw her in a film ? She's not bad !) Well, the shape matters, some noses I like even way bigger but with a more harmonious shape too. Not exactly a fetish of mine, but to me a nose job kind of says "I wasn't sexy enough to rock that nose".

I like to think that everyone has the right to be what they are no matter how much I may dislike what they are, and that I am in no place to judge them, even if my opinion of them might be negative. There are times when I find this rule hard to follow, but that's how I try to live.

And to me, it seems that most people just love to judge other peoples way of living, habits, and pretty much everything else.

It was considered mediocre by fans for abandoning the turn-based battles, lacking random encounters (so to speak), uninteresting locations, boring story, characters etc.

I thought it was a pretty decent game, liked the much bigger areas to explore though by the same token the world felt a little small considering there were a lot of places mentioned in the game that couldn't be visited. Characters (especially the NPC's surprisingly) were pretty well portrayed minus a few scenes, though Vaan was a terrible protagonist IMO.

I'd consider it an underrated FF game personally.

^_^
