Not at all. You can still get her to feed your fish. It just means you're not on serious terms with her. Still, it leaves the question open as to whether or not this will affect your previous relationship in any way.

Bioware should've made it more obvious. Invite her up to your quarters for a cup of "hot coffee."

So i cheated Liara with Kelly then Kelly with Tali and in ME3 i will cheated tali with Shiala i hope i get achivment for that

I'm glad to read they confirmed that having "dinner" with Kelly didn't count as a romance. Otherwise there would be that moment, with Kelly and the ME1 LI where Kelly says, "Commander, we have to talk."

Shepard: "About what?"

Kelly: "About you know, us."

Liara: "Shepard, what's this about?"

Shepard: "Feeding the fish in the tank in my quarters."

Kelly: "What? Is that all I am to you?"

Liara: "What aren't you telling me, Shepard? This better be good."

Shepard: "Liara, this was all before I even knew you were on Illium."

Kelly: "You could have asked."

Shepard: "Sorry, Kelly. The writers didn't put it in your dialog tree, and besides the only way I could keep the fish from dying was to have 'dinner' with you because they put a fish tank in my cabin and forgot to put a f****** feeding timer on it. Do you know how many credits it costs to get Prejek Paddle Fish? 8000 Cr! Each! And I've always wanted one... since I was a child."

Kelly: "What???"

Shepard: "Here we are in 2186, and they put a fish tank with self filtering water on a 'state of the art' starship and neglect to put a 10 CR feeding timer on it, but I guess that was a 100000 CR feeding timer the way contractors overcharge on military vessels. Still you'd think one of the gift shops would have stocked an aftermarket one so Rupert could install it."

Liara: "Mmmm hmmm." tapping her foot.

Kelly: "You (b****/ba*****)!!"

Shepard: "Kelly. Think. If one of those fish died before we went through the Omega 4 relay, and I had to go back to Illium for to replace it, you wouldn't even be standing here. You would have been goo and in a pipe on the way to that... reaper thing. Be thankful for that."

Liara: "Shepard!" shaking her head with a facepalm.

Shepard: "Besides. Liara has that... blue thing going on. She's a genius. I've known her longer. I head over heels in love with her, and she's a total bada**. I'm sorry. I gotta go with Liara. I thought that was clear when I invited her to the Normandy, and we went up to my cabin."

Kelly: "F*** you, Shepard. I will take your messages, but don't bother even talking to me." and she turns and stomps out.

Shepard: looks at Liara and shrugs

Liara: *slaps Shepard* "I ought to flay you alive."

Shepard: "I know. Are we still going to make all those blue babies?"

Liara: "I don't know. I might need a little incentive."

I think the trigger is whether or not the LI from ME1 is up or down. Kelly does not trigger the picture to move down. I think they are messing with us on that.

The fact that it doesn't turn down the picture is a relieving sign in itself. That being said, I still don't think you'll just get away with it.

Ok, here's a dumb Q; can femShep get Kelly to feed fish?   I really want to see fishies in aquarium but don't fancy running back n forth feeding them. If I say nice things to Kelly, would she be the autofeeder? If she does, when does she kick in?

Yes and yes. Be friendly toward her and you'll eventually hang out for dinner (which isn't necessarily romantic), after that she'll mention the aquarium and ask if you'd like her to keep an eye on your fish while you're away.

Tali is required because she has the evidence you need to prove that Saren was traitor...so, alot like without Liara, Shep never figures out he/she has to go to Ilos to find the conduit...without Tali... Shep never actually finds the evidence he/she needs to out Saren n become a spectre him/herself....

I know...hencing why none of my shep's has ever even had an inkling to romance her...as opposed to say Liara n Miranda( whom are my male shep romances( ash is too...on my canon, but I'm leaving her ass for Miranda after that Horizon fiasco)... like you, my fems romance Garrus( and only garrus...as I always nuke Kaiden...and Jacob n Thane are just.....NO).

edit: The only other reason why I would think Tali is important is because she's a quarian and that way you would have all the "important" races outside of Salarian covered in ME 1.... ME 2 did this as well...but added salarian n geth to the fray as well...

However, her plot point allows to introduce an engineer companion into the roster of party members, rounding out all six classes (Soldier Ash, Sentinel Kaidan, Infiltrator Garrus, Vanguard Wrex, Adept Liara, and Engineer Tali). If she left after her main plot involvement, you'd need to find another plot point in which to insert another character with the Engineer skill set. And that would be a waste of resources.

Who cares about engineers They didn't HAVE to have one of every class on the team, just look at ME2..

Not this again....... Inviting Kelly to your cabin does not mean sex happen at all. It's up to the player, Dusty has already said this. If you want to think your Shepard and her just had a chat and dinner, then they did that. If you want your Shepard to make sweet love to Kelly then that happen. IT'S UP TO YOU.

You're right. We just don't know if that means anything for your previous affair, regardless of whether it's a platonic or flirty relationship you've had with Kelly.
