Would you like to see the group camp return in DA III?

What I disliked about the camp was that each time I returned, I ran from person to person seeing if they had new things to say to me. You might say "Then don't do that," but if you didn't frequently check in with companions, it was easy to miss important conversations.
Leliana, for example, had a necessary conversation that only appeared when you were at a specific friendship level. Miss it and you would miss out on her companion quest and could never romance her.
So, suggestions...
1) Notifications? If someone has something important to say to me, give me a heads up.
2) Continue the trend of having more conversations that happen while traveling and not just in camp.
Lastly, if there's a camp, please give me a group armory. A place where I can easily shuffle through my different followers and see what they're equipped with.

Or even if there isn't a camp. This was my only issue with DAII's "home bases." A party camp would have been... weird... in the city. But the lack of any centralized location where I could access my party's inventories all at once was a big inconvenience for me.
Re: the actual thread topic: depends on the story. If it involves my character and her companions prancing about Orlais in masquerade gowns, a party campsite would make sense; though, I think it could be implemented a little better than it was in Origins. Being able to have a "home" with some decoration was nice. If a party camp returns, I want a big tent for myself that's a separate interior that I can decorate with tokens from my travels (think Sheogorath's throne room and its trophies in Oblivion's Shivering Isles expansion).

Didn't Dragon Age II have that? Every conversation was treated as a quest so we knew when someone wanted to talk.Maria Caliban wrote...

I will accept a camp if it fits the story. Personally if we are traveling around places I wouldn't mind a different camp depending on which part of the world we are in. Of course that would mean extra work for level design. I was okay with both the camp and each companion having a home. Each fit with the story. If we all live in say a Keep then I would expect everyone to have a personal room that reflects who they are.
Edit: I wouldn't mind if we go to city then need a place to stay then the hero and companions would stay in a tavern. It seem odd that the Warden went to Denerim or Redcliffe and instead of staying in a rented room he decides to make camp. You'd think the Warden would take a bed if it was nearby.

For example, let's say Cullen is a party member in DA3, his tent is tailored to him ala chantry and templar stuff around his tent or if you have a person who likes to drink there tent is filled with booze.
Also if Bioware ever does a camp again, for the love of good give the PC a tent.

Not entirely. There was a quest notification for most specific conversations, but there were some conversations that weren't notified, such as Isabela's romance commentary.

The main thing I didn't like about the Dragon Age: Origins camp was shaking the feeling you effectively had three or four traveling companions along with you, and then some others who just sort of tagged along but never did anything. Not quite as badly as with, say, Mass Effect 2, but enough to grate. Giving characters a justifiable reason to not be there would help with that somewhat, at least.

Maybe it isn't really the best system, but the premise does already exist. Maybe just add a part of the journal titled, "Companion Conversations." They have something to say and it's updated.hoorayforicecream wrote...

It was probably one of the most annoying thing about DA2... not being able to manage my companions without having to put them in my party...
Then again, with how little management there was with them... But since management is returning in DA3, this is a MUST.

Separating heads-up Plot dialogue from flavour dialogue has been suggested to them in the past, but all they've confirmed so far is that there will not be conversation while travelling (ie. out of designated talky areas). I don't think they need quest markers for every single bit of new dialogue that appears, but the way DA2 had companions strewn across the city it became kinda necessary unless you wanted to do a lot of pointless walking,
Can't say I was keen on the Awakening hub system any more than I was the DA2 system, but eh..

If ever we're going to have a camp, I'd like to see it be much larger scale. Something like an army camp with your own area devoted to companions, would make sense with the mage/templar war and the army camp can change depending on which side you're on.
I'd really like not to be at the head of an army.

Not be at the head, part of it. Think of the camp as a mini-town with vendors, ambient NPCs and the leadership in another tent where they're constantly arguing amongst themselves throughout the game. Different camps depending on who you're working with could be very interesting and you'd see how both sides feel on the subject.
A Templar companion can be doing prayer somewhere in the camp, a mage companion can be summoning things with other mages, a drunkard can be sitting around a campfire drinking with others, ect.

I'll rephrase: I'd really like not to be associated with an army.

The idea of traveling around with a small troupe sounds like it could work, maybe... like Tantalus in FF9.

But then you'll have a open bar. Isabela will make a cameo just to mix the drinks.

I assume at some point I will have to choose a side in a war, and that armies will be involved in some way, and that I could thusly be said to be affiliated with an army, and I'm cool with that. But I don't want to be travelling with the army.
Also, since the player will (I assume) be dictating where she travels, the "big army camp" idea doesn't make sense unless she is, in fact, at its head.
