I was thinking, and the idea crossed my mind...

Does ANYONE here play with only one Shepard, have one personality and playstyle for that Shepard, and keep it at that?  Everybody who plays it a lot has got to have at least a FEW different personalities for their Shepards, right?  I know not everyone is like me and has about ten different characters in all, each playing and feeling differently as a character, but does anyone have only ONE Shepard?

What do you have for different personalities?

All of mine are a mixture of personalities, namely wuxia me (being a "good guy" who will kill people he knows to be bad but will always give a second chance, just not a third chance), business me (utilitarian, makes decisions based on cost/benefits analysis), and regular me (has certain hot-button issues, along with individual quirks).

So my Paragon Shep is the one where wuxia dominates, my Renegade is the one where the business dominates, and my current blood knight Shepard is just one I made because both of them tend to arrive at the same conclusions - save the rachni because they're a potential resource, rewrite geth because they're a potential resource, kill Fist because he deserves it, etc. For all of them, though, they're nice to quarians because quarians are like their woobie race.

My main paragade shepard (the one I use in my motivationals) is pretty much the only one I play. After a while on mass effect 1 I did make a renagon femshep, which i started playing in ME2 But I got bored of her and stopped.

I like having one cos it makes the choices mean more, if you have loads, then it doesnt matter what you choose, cos you can just do it differently on a different char.

There's a pretty good topic about this already. I've posted two of my Shepards there already.

I'm doing a Renegade Shep just so I can see what certain choices will end up doing.  You play Paragade mainly, do you ever change it up when you go to replay it and say, sell Legion?  Or do you always make the same choices, and just leave him when he's done with everything in the galaxy?

Well see, I care bout my main Shepard, so if I'm not playing with him, I dont care as much about the game. So far that's meant I havnt cared enough to play all the way through with anyone else, not even to see the effects of different choices, (Most of which are fairly obvious to guess I think). Besides, as a paragade, I already get variation in seeing renagade and paragon choices, and would get less difference through a replay. I suppose if I played full renegade/paragon, a full paragon/renegade replay might be worth it. But to be honest, both extremes annoy me. Just call me Jolee Shepard.

That said, when i played through the 2nd time, in order to have high level and bonus power, I did do a few minor things differently.

I've only got one Shepard. Once I'd started with that character it felt artificial doing it again with somebody else.

Many of my Shepards end up looking fairly similar, but I have three main Shepards. They each have distinctive personalities that i develop in my head.

Huh. I must be strange then.

I have 8 or so... Darth Shepard (Renegade soldier with Throw) in ME1 turned into Jacen (Renagade Soldier) for ME2, but besides that I have 6 others that I'm fairly serious about. Kate, Paragade Adept, Spartacus, Paragon Soldier, Mordecai, Infiltrator that's half and half, Alexander, mostly Paragon Engineer, Sarah, pure paragon Sentinel, and Hunter, Renagon Vanguard.

I ended up giving each of them their own personality traits and changing the way I play for each of them, and no just because they're all different classes, it's because they're all different people. Jacen and Spartacus, for example, both are Soldiers, but I play the two of them entirely differently.

I just don't really get how you can play the game more than once or twice and only have one Shepard still. I've go for so many playthroughs of ME1 and 2 combined I lost count.

I have two that I really will care about for story.

One is a Male Earthborn Ruthless Renegade Soldier.  Very much a jerk.  For example, he slept with the Asari Consort, then romanced Ashley then in ME2 he slept with Jack (didn't romance her) then romanced Miranda. Haha.

My Paragon is a Female Spacer War Hero Adept.  She romanced Liara and stayed loyal and sees her crew as friends.

I have more then one, but I know what you mean.  My main Shepard is my favorite class/service history/background.
It's the one I put the most thought into in terms of decisions and did everything in each game, even the piddly little scavenger hunt quests in ME1.

In terms of personality for him I play him as someone who has little patience for beaucrats, is loyal to the Alliance, has zero tolerance for anyone pulling  a gun on him, is blunt to the point of being an ass to anyone outside of his crew/squad.  To his squad he tries to be friendly and get to know each person in his squad as a person.  He'll take the time to help them out or just listen.   He hates batarians with a passion and will not hesitate to shoot any of them in the face if given the chance.

The other ones were ''what if'' sceneraios and to see what the other classes were like.  I've developed personalities for them - a goodie goodie paragon who's a bit of a xenophobe and womanizer.  A by the book/emotionally detached neutral character that has a fetish for asari and genetically engineered booty.

i have 5, working on 6 but only 1 male and 1 female that are canon to me. worked hard getting them perfect, the others are my vents. i chose a slightly more paragon male than renegade and vice versa for my female, mostly because that seems the most realistic to me when looking at their backgrounds, both earthborn ss. though the asari have changed the way some of the other cultures work as far as females place in the galaxy, humanity is still a male dominated society, so my female had to be a little harder to get **** done, not a total **** though i'm talking only slightly, like 60-40 etc. i have a few other mixes just there to see where other possibilities could go etc. but i guess like most there can be only one, or two lol.

I do. I only have one, a bitter colonist sole survivor renegon vanguard. I've tried to go through character creation again, but the results never felt "right" to me. There's only one canon Shep in my head. This one: Posted Image

This is exactly how I do things. One Shepard. Anyother seems... odd.

I've got 6 Sheps. One for each class. 4 female and 2 male. 5 of them are pretty much paragade. Usually the paragon choice with lots of renegade interrupts because they're fun and generally situation appropriate IMO. One of my male Sheps is renegon with a few paragon choices (like helping Tali, etc.) but otherwise he pretty much killed his way across the galaxy and encouraged his squad to do the same.

That said, I do have 1 favorite which is my femgineer who was my first play through with both games and my most replayed. Fittingly, he looks are very identical to the redhead, green eyed femshep that was voted on recently which makes me happy.

I only have renegade Shepards. Not because I choose to play Renegade, but because I see the Renegade options are the best options.

Of course, all of my are completely different. How boring would it be to play through exactly the same way each time? I have my "canon" Shep (she's fairly strongly Paragade--she'll take the Paragon options nine times out of ten, but she's not a pushover. Push her too far and she'll gladly go Renegade on you), but I also have my perfectly Paragon Shep (except for, in the case of ME2, the renegade interrupt when you talk to the merc recruiter on Omega. Just too funny to pass up as FemShep), my mostly Renegade Shep, my self-centered "what do I get out of it?" Shepard, and so on. I try to maintain a constant attitude for each new playthrough to keep things interesting.

Swenson, that's pretty much how I am. I'm glad I'm not the only one this obsessed with multiple playthroughs. I've got 7 Shepards at this point, I've decided to just stick with them. One for each class, and two Soldiers, one Paragon and one Renegade, and those two are my only "pure" Shepards, except for my Sentinel, Sarah, since her personality is based off of my girlfriend (Sarah), who couldn't hurt a fly.

I really only have one shep. She is a spacer/sole survivor and is mildly Paragrade (if such a thing exists); she is more than willing to help anyone who needs and would die for her crew but gods help you if you decide to mess with them. She has always been faithful to Liara and views the rest of her crew as family. I have done multiple play throughs starting from my ME1 import to try out different classes but my choices remain largely the same. I even use the same face code <.<. To me there is one and only one shep, my red head Artemis. Well maybe 1 and half as I do have a ME1 import of her where I romanced no one and used that play through romance Garrus for the achievement. But her decisions and actions and looks were all the same.
