I must be doing something wrong, I used to be able to do this, but I forgot how.
I would lke to host a LAN game. Can someone please refresh the steps for me please.
We only want to play some older NWN modules as Multiplayer, like the old Ice Cream World.
Thank you.
would like to start a Lan game with my friend

Download the module here if you don't have it already available. Should be located in C:\\NeverwinterNights\\NWN\\modules (or on whatever drive you are using). If any haks/overrides are needed, all players must be running those. All should be using the same patch version.Lomondra wrote...

Select Multiplayer.
Create/load LAN game. Either post Internet or not. Master Server isn't working but shouldn't matter for LAN.
Run ipconfig. Send direct connect addy to playmates. It should also post addy to Gamespay but dunno if Master Server burping will affect this. Use password or not. Doesn't matter with LAN direct connect if you don't try to post to Gamespy.
Or have you already tried all this?

No, I haven't tried any of this ipconfig, and in win7 I think I would use msconfig. I understand what this start up utility is but I don't understand the rest of your directions, and I had started a privtae game before with me and one other player in the same room, to play a multiplayer game together, but I don't remember how to do it, and back then I didn't use ipconfig or msconfig to get it started. Maybe this is all changed since the master server is down and the reason I need to do something with ipconfig/msconfig?
