Kidding, but we don't know how TIM reacted.

Yeah, we do.  He didn't particularly mind the fact that Grayson's body wasn't recovered, and even saw an advantage to it:

Occasionally he would take a sip from the whiskey rocks in his right hand, or pull a long, slow drag on the cigarette in his left. He was thinking about everything Kai Leng had told him, and what the implications were both for humanity and for Cerberus.

He knew enough about Admiral David Anderson to know he wasn’t going to ignore this. Finally someone other than Cerberus was going to start doing something about the Reapers. That didn’t mean the Illusive Man was simply going to step aside, however.

Working with Anderson probably wasn’t an option. Not in the immediate future, anyway, though he wasn’t willing to rule it out entirely. But for the time being he needed to make sure his own work continued, even as he tried to rebuild his fallen empire.

Not really, I consider them bad, which is why I don't think BW will pick up after them.

That's just like, your opinion man.

That whole conversation about Anderson's history with Saren in ME1? Totally based on a novel. Liara rescuing Shepard's body from the Shadow-broker? Totally based on a comic. This character we're talking about right now? Totally based on a novel.

Whether you personally enjoyed that content or not is not up for debate, it's already been confirmed that Kai Leng will be in ME3. Too late to think "The novels are bad, Bioware won't use them", mate.

You took what I said out of context. They're bad, yeah, everyone knows it, ask around. But they do have some good points, Kai Leng is the biggest one.

Okay, am I reading this wrong or are your posts starting to contradict eachother?

I kept his post completely in context, was trying to cut-down on the size of the obnoxious quote pyramid.

I enjoyed the novels so no not everyone thinks they are bad.

Oh, I love the novels. I'm in the process of re-reading them, preparing for Mass Effect 3 and the fourth novel.

In fact, they came up with Kai Leng as a character for ME3 first, and then afterwards realized that they could fit him in to Retribution pretty easily, so decided to have him make his debut there.

I mostly enjoyed the second and third novel. Curious that I would find the first so middling since its story setup seemed to promise excellence. I just found Karpyshyn's writing especially meh in that one.

No, your reading comprehension is fine.  Pwener has a marked tendency towards this sort of thing.

All Im saying is, Kai Leng can change and it wouldn't be a Retcon. Was it a retcon when Anakin became Darth Vader? No. Same here.

*Maybe not the wisest thing to use Star Wars.....

They had a reason of why Anakin became Darth Vader. There is no defined reason of why Leng would change.

The hell? The Star Wars movies were not based on books, books came afterward and Anakin was ALWAYS Darth Vader. Fail analogy is total fail.

There's lots of reasons because he could change. Use your imagination a little, that's what writers like the ones BW has do, they make things happen through writing.

Im not saying he will change, only that the possibility he will is there and nothing would be contradicted.

I'm effectively paraphrasing ThePwener's Star Wars analogy.

Don't doubt the point behind my posts please. I don't troll.

Yeah, too much hate for Star Wars these days, should have gone with a different one. Thing is, the transition between book-game isn't relevant. What is relevant is the possible change.

It only took one night for Red Hood to become The Joker.

So Kai Leng.. what's up with his Ourobus tattoo? Any actual significance or does he just like snakes?

Attempting to stay on-topic, roll initiative..

Does the consistency between novel/comic characters and their in-game versions fail to register with your brain or are you just being a deliberate troll?

Snake eating itself = humanity destroying itself by affiliating with other races on a large scale, perhaps.

Nah, strike my last. It doesn't really gel with the mythos behind the snake very well. I'm pretty tired.

Probably just aesthetic. Or actually mean something. Could be how we identify him, though Blue Suns eliminate they're tattoos for missions and then have them applied again afterwards. Cerberus is even more organized and funded, so it is very likely they do the same.
