The "Jensen" ending is my personal favorite. One man (or group for that matter) should never wield such supreme authority that they can dictate how humanity ultimately lives or, as the game likes to put it, "evolve" as a species.

People must be free to forge their own path in life as best as possible.

its my favorite too

Darrows ending. Anyone else upset that you don't really see the effects of your choices? After the game ended I kinda felt like what was the point of that? Maybe Mass Effect has risen my RPG expectations too high.

theres no point in any ending having differing consequences we still get, spanish flu and tuberculosis pendemics , the earthquake plunging most of the east coast into the sea,  the nsf, mj12, grey death, nano-augmentation and helios. what you do at panchea wont change any of that

So many more people picked David Sarif then i'd have thought.

I wasn't comfortable picking Sarif's ending as my cannon ending, I did not like the fact that David Sarif wanted Jenson to lie and blame the signal that caused all Augments to go crazy on the Humanity Front organisation ( not that I have any love for that organistion or Taggart himself ), the fact that Sarif had the ball sto ask me to do this shows a side of him that I am uncomfortable with. I also did not like the idea of giving all these corporations all this un-reguled power to keep pushing boundaries, like that won't backfire and bite someone in the ass somewhere donw the line ( look at what Megan Reed's doing in the secret ending ).

Anyway, I feel that I did not really explain why I concider the Jenson ending ( blow up the base ) to be the cannon ending, not only does it seem like somthing Jenosn would do ( Darrow, Sarif and Taggart all make valid points but I don't think Jenosn would favour any one choice nor do I feel that he would be comfortable making such a choice ) but in the secret ending Megan Reed tells Bob Page that she has nowehere else left to go, this suggests that somthing happened to David Sarif and Sarif Industries.

Creating the Denton brothers? JC and Paul? Her work is important, and changes the world forever.

I picked Darrow. Not because I agreed with him, but because it was the truth. He was responsible for what happened. I thought about self-destructing for a bit, but in the end I thought it was the solution of a coward, treating the world like a small child. No, this is what happened. This is what this guy has done. Deal with it. It would've been nice if we could've explained our choice a bit more in the game itself.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but whatever you do in DX doesn't matter that much as well. In DX: IW all the three options happened in some way as well.

Sarif's guided evolution. It's the only way to go, really. Everything else is just finding fire, figuring out how to make it, then saying, "meh, it's too dangerous. Let's just forget about it."

The fire is still there. Who know who will pick it up next?

I guess I just wish this game was longer. I'll need to play it again to make up for its shortness.

And what would that difference be? I never played DX that much. If I had to guess it would be because IW sucks according to public opinion. :?

Same.  To those choosing Darrow because it's 'the truth', listen to what Eliza says again.  It's not just the truth, it's the truth as told by Darrow, twisted to suit his aims.  It's propaganda the same as the other two, and is probably even worse since the best propaganda always have a grain of truth in order to make it more believable.  I wanted to let the truth out too, but I realised it wouldn't be just the truth as Eliza states it has been modified with Darrow's message.  In essence the three choices are:

Pro-Aug
Anti-technology
Controlled-Aug
Let the world decide what the **** it likes

My moral code says I should choose the last one, but my desires go with the first.

Nope could care less about that. In fact I used my 'shiny toys' as little as possible. Including purposely not activating my Typhoon system.

I picked Sarif because he's an idealist and because I like him. Also because his is the path that could lead to removing humankind's growing addiction to anti-rejection drugs.

David also taught me a valuable lesson about signing organ donor cards. (Admittedly Ziggy in Xenosaga taught me this lesson first)

Enjoyed the Sarif ending, though I'd go with the "Jensen" ending. Feels more right with the character they've established throughout the series.

There should've been some sort of Epilogue if you choose not to commit suicide. At least that could have served to tie up some loose ends, such as the Jensen-Reed plot, and give us an idea of what will become of Jensen himself.

Well if you watch through to the end of the credits you find out what happens to Megan.

I did, not even close to a satisfying conclusion.

Was anyone else disappointed with the videos for each ending?

On topic: I chose the "suicide" ending because I feel it fit best for leading into Deus Ex 1

I did all 4, in no particular order.

Overall, I was incredibly underwhelmed by by ending videos. Probably overall, the worst ending(s) I've seen in any game for at least 5 years...

I agree. They're great videos, inspiring even, but bad endings overall. To be fair, though, TW2's endings are worse, if only because it doesn't have any.

*** SPOILERS BELOW ***

DX:HR does not have endings either.  It just shows videos of African children laughing, missiles launching and soldiers marching, and various biology/cybernetics shots, while Jensen blathers about how he tried to do the right thing during the game and attempts to justify his final choice, without giving even the slightest hint of what came after.
