I did all 4, in no particular order.

Overall, I was incredibly underwhelmed by by ending videos. Probably overall, the worst ending(s) I've seen in any game for at least 5 years...

I agree. They're great videos, inspiring even, but bad endings overall. To be fair, though, TW2's endings are worse, if only because it doesn't have any.

Game endings seem to be quite dissapointing lately.. TW1's was good imo but yeah TW2.. Walking out a gate wow how exciting.. yeah didn't like it

Not as bad as Witch Hunts ending though, they might as well have had a message that said "BUY DRAGON AGE 2 TO FIND OUT WTF ANY OF THIS MEANS" - only to discover Dragon Age II didn't reveal any of what it meant

I picked Darrow's message and thus stayed faithful to my philosophy from original Deus Ex:

"Yesterday we obeyed kings and bent our necks before emperors. But today we kneel only to truth..." (Tong's ending in original DE):P

Three things to say here:
1. I didn't like the way the ending choice was handled. Just having 4 buttons is lame. They should have done something like in the original DX where you had to walk around a bit and really do different stuff. Also, I was underwhelmed by the final levels. I mean, they have a fancy deep ocean station and all and they give us a 5 minute elevator ride down a steal tube? WTF? Make it glass or transparent nano-super-carbon or whatever. Just give us spectacular views and a scenery that is a proper background for the epic final fight (which was a bit disappointing as well btw). Heaps of wasted potential here. A shame.

2. I LOVED the ending videos. All of them, they were great, very thoughtful with superb monologues for Adam. Only thing I would have done differently: Before the videos I would have added a small cutscene to show what actually happened to the character (especially if you blow up the station). I think we would have deserved that. It would also have been a great opportunity to see Malik again if you rescued her. With so many cutscenes during the game I don't understand why they didn't take extra effort.

3. While I love the game and it's story, It didn't do what I expected of it and I really want a DX:HR2. There is still so much interesting stuff to show that was only hinted at yet. I want to see the bombing of Lady Liberty. I want to see the inception of UNATCO. I want to see the separation of MJ12 from the Illuminati. I want to see the intrigues that were involved in the creation of the Gray Death virus. I want to see the implementation of the Aquinas Hub and protocols.
And that is just the tip of the iceberg Din't get me wrong, it is good that HR's story stands on its own but I had really hoped to be involved in at least some of these events and I hope a second part can do hat.

The Self-Destruct Ending was the ending I felt the most satisfied with. Some truths are best not to be known. I believed that the world wasn't ready for the truth (Darrow's ending), but I also didn't agree with either Taggart or Sarif. Besides, it felt like a hypocrite thing to do, to lie to humanity after trying so hard to uncover the truth. In the end, I was in doubt. I couldn't choose between Sarif's ending or the Self-Destruct ending. After thinking for a few minutes, I decided to simply press the self-destruct button.

I felt like I made the right choice.

I sided with Sarif. Why should humanity limit itself? I can see the consequences, sure (augmented criminals that roam the streets, hurting innocents, augmented terrorist organizations etc, etc...)

But overall, I feel that the pros outweigh the cons.

While I agree, the part when Eliza said that the companies and corporations will get all the power and freedom to experiment on mankind kinda scared me. I just know that sometimes scientists can be too ruthless and too eager to get results that they sometimes cross the line of what is moraly responsible.

At the end of Sarif's ending, you see an augmented fetus in a womb. That imagine still sort-of haunts me. It makes me question if the Sarif ending is the right ending. That's why I chose Self-Destruct in my first playthrough, because I didn't like Darrow or Taggart. It was either Sarif, or Self-Destruct. In the end, I chose Self-Destruct.
