because of threads like this one.
But I too cheat in RPGs... because I don't like combat in them... then again, I think I do understand the point of view - my girlfriend cheats in both Dragon Ages because she don't want to be bothere dying.

try learning the game before crying about ME3 being too difficult. If easy is too hard, just practice. You're prob not a natural gamer and not very coordinated. You just have to play games until you get better. You can't jump into ME as your first ever games and expect to be any good. Most hardcore gamers have 20+ years of playing them and building hand and eye coordination.
ME and DA arent even tough RPGs. They're Action RPG or more a Shooter with RPG sprinkled on top. If you played a JRPG, you'd see how tough a RPG is. Play a Tactical RPG like Disgaea or something and you'd see how hard RPGs are. Play Demon Souls and you'll see a Action RPG that's hard. I have a 100s+ list of great RPGs and a list of hard ones, but DA2 or ME2 as hard? Not so. Not in the least. Only thing that made DA2 hard parse would be the huge amount of glitches. The collectors ship on insanity do to it's design and terrible AI for party members you have+glitches makes that hard, but the level itself isnt.

Oh come on, don't jump down OP's throat for having trouble with a freaking game.

So, I will be upset myself if ME3 will be even harder even on the easiest setting.

If anything I want ME3 Insanity to be at least twice as hard as ME2's insanity. But I guess if some people have trouble with easy, then a new level called,"Just tell me a story" should be made.

Generally, I suck at games. I knew that from the get go. (To this day I can't beat Super Mario Bros) Coming to terms with my casual gamer skills, I still prefer to challenge myself. I always start on normal (easy is an insult) winging it and work my way up. If it takes me a year to beat one game then so be it. At least the game was worth my money. If a game takes me only two days to beat then I sadly wasted my money. (which I have)Golden Owl wrote...

I just get annoyed when developers feel the need to make their games short an easy. An example of difficulty downgrade from ME1 to 2 are the lack of snipers in ME2 and that most Biotic (save Vasir) only use Warp. I miss the days when dealing with enemy biotics had to handled with care lest you die because of carelessness. Getting knocked off you **** in ME1 to me was way superior than just getting staggered.

I love how you can say "just practice" so easily. I hope you realize that not everyone has time to practice for the sake of being better in a video game. Some of us work, have families, and lives. I'm pretty good at Mass Effect, but I certainly understand if someone just wants to play the game for the story and not worry about "practicing". I'm a story guy myself. I've played on insanity and I can't say I've enjoyed the game any more because of the increased difficulity.

People shouldn't have to be "good at video games" in order to play through Mass Effect and experience a great story. That's what casual mode is for, and if some people want an even MORE casual mode, I say give it to them. They shouldn't be shut out from the experience just because they don't commit as much time practicing and honing their video games skills.
I play Hard/Insanity only, but I don't scoff at someone who plays casual; I'm just thrilled they are getting to experience Mass Effect despite the fact that they aren't "gamer people."

Not to mention, people who have disabilities and illnesses that affect coordination/response time/etc. can and do enjoy playing games.

Fair Enough. However I don't think making games easier is the solution. By my own admission I have stated that I am horrible at video games and that I wing it a lot of the times. That doesn't mean that I want developers to hold my hands a give me an easy game that I can beat in two days. In spite of my skills I do wish to be challenged. I don't begrudge or look down upon people who play games on easy but I do get annoyed when people start griping about games being too hard. From my perspective they are getting too easy. Go fugure.Biotic Sage wrote...
Some people need to realize that games aren't just for the hardcore, young adult male crowd anymore. Bioware has done such great things with story, characters, and role playing that the appeal of modern video games has broadened. This means that developers have a responsibility to differentiate gameplay and accommodate as many types of people who want to play the game as they can.
