So this could mean.....

Revisiting Omega in ME3.
Teaming up with Aria at some point.
Maybe Omega is where TIM acquired such huge forces. Anyone who didn't want to be blown to hell joined him. Everyone else bit the dust.

These are just possibilities, but I'm happy if Omega is back in some form, it was a fantastic place in Mass Effect 2. :) Thanks for sharing this.

So Omega gets blow to bits? This is bound to be interesting, also did anyone think of this when they saw the cover?

Woah, this might be the first time I actually prefer the alternate cover.

Seems like all the pieces are falling into place for ME3; TIM will finally have his precious Klendagon Weapon.

You know, I'd kind of hoped to be able to destroy Omega myself thanks to a Virmire-esque choice. And now I'm profoundly irked at TIM changing what could have been another interesting moment of regret for Shepard into plain mass murder. Oh well.

So it's okay when you do it, but when TIM does the exact same thing it's suddenly bad?

Well, TIM's the villain, and the only way I would do it is if not doing it meant that some other place was destroyed.

Well, if this is the case.  That blows my speculation in my fanfic all to hell.

Oh well, I suppose it won't be the only thing I get wrong.

Who's to say TIM isn't destroying/taking over Omega for "the greatest possible good", as you put it in the other thread?

Whoa! 0_0

Y'know, a few months ago, I was actually thinking "If Aria lost Omega, she could be on Shepard's squad," but I never thought it would actually happen! Never thought it would be Cerberus, either.

Well played, Bioware!

Also, I think Aria could serve the galaxy best by being on Shepard's squad. I don't think she can do much else (ie: rally forces for the Reaper War). Omega was her clout. Without it, she's just a powerful Asari biotic. What is a king without his kingdom?

I wonder who (or what) was on Omega that TIM saw the need to destroy it. If it was Aria then he appears to have failed and based on her past, or what we know of it, she might be a great ally for Shepard with all her contacts.

I hate that they appear to have made TIM a stupid enemy, keeping fingers crossed that I am wrong, but since we are now also fighting Cerberus ... Shepard needs people like Aria to combat them. I would be surprised if she had all her marbles in that bag.

People actually trust Aria enough to want her on the squad?

Yeah, no thanks.

I'd trust Aria long before I'd trust Morinth. At least you'd know where you stood with Aria.

In all honesty, the same can be said about Jack... or Wrex... or Zaeed... or Morinth... or even Grunt.

I don't trust Massani either.

But Wrex and Jack? Why not? You've done more for Jack than anyone else ever has and Wrex makes it clear you're his buddy.

Well, he's not fighting the Reapers, and that's the only thing he ever did to bring it about.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, Wrex becomes a faithful friend, but when you first meet, he's just a merc working for the Shadow Broker. Jack is just unpredictable. Someone with that much power, dangerous antisocial tendencies, and hate on their mind isn't easy to trust... unless you romance her, of course. <_<

Fair enough points. Now if you let Wrex die and Wreav takes over? Oh yeah, I don't trust that guy one bit. Infact I think he'll just lead the Krogan back to their old ways.

Greater good for whom?  The galaxy as a whole or just humanity?  Because if it's the latter than no, it's not for the greater good.  It's to stroke his over inflated ego.

He's not just doing it because he can, he's doing it because it furthers our position in the Reaper War.

Edit: Well, more specifically his position, which also happens to be ours right now.

We don't know that. It might be that, behind the scenes, TIM is actually trying to fight the Reapers. I wouldn't be surprised if he used this entire war as a test. Similar to what Cerberus supposedly did on Akuze, if we believe Toombs. TIM might be watching and studying reaper weapons and defenses in an attempt to find a countermeasure. I wouldn't be surprised for example if in the end, it's TIM who comes up with some form of protection against indoctrination.

All we know right now is Cerberus troopers are attacking Shepard, nothing more.

Note: I am not Pro Cerberus btw.

Villain is such a strong word. TIM seems like more of an anti-hero to me.

TIM is just another Reaper tool, too bad we weren't able to put him down in ME2.
