Killing many times more people to save nothing but your own species out of spite is not justice.

They had their chance. I'm not choosing humanity because they're my own species, but because only parts of our race have actively contributed to stopping the Reaper threat, while both the alien Councils continued to ignore our warnings.

If the tables were turned, I'd damn well sacrifice the cradle of humanity if favor of race X who COULD get their crap together.

Exactly what proof has Shepard given the Council to proof without a shadow of a doubt that the Reapers exist?  Her/His visions?  Not even the Alliance believes that.

They believe the Sovereign was a one time attack.  And geth technology.  Shepard has not proven without a shadow of a doubt that the Reapers actually exist.

Cerberus only knows because Harper has been in contact with one.  Simple fact.  Vigil on Ilos quit working.  And the only other proof is in Shepard's head.  Only one person on the Council could get that intel out of Shep's head and that is the asari Councilor via a meld.

Those three get killed off because they're incompatible with galactic society by their very nature, because they're hivemind species.

Incompatible with galactic society?  That's an interesting way of looking at things.  How do you determine when a species is incomatible?  Humans and asari are the only species with five fingers on each hand.  Turians and quarians have a completely different amino physiology than the rest of the galaxy.  Quarians and volus need to wear life-support systems wherever they go.  Hanar are flying jellyfish, asari only have one gender, and the elcor walk on their hands.  Where's the line?

The line ends at the same point individualism, or potential for it, does.

Is there a particular reason for the line to be drawn there?

Yeah, to prevent future conflict.

Why she never thought to do this in order to see if Shepard was telling the truth or not baffles me.

I agree.  Derp, derp, derp.

AC:We believe that you believe it, but that doesn't make it true.
Shep:Do a meld, damnit.  *slams hand on railing*

Your powers of precognition are astounding.

Are you in favor of destroying the krogan race?

Anderson and Hackett do, and that doesn't change the fact the Council neglected a threat (as seems to be custom).

They believe the Sovereign was a one time attack.  And geth technology.  Shepard has not proven without a shadow of a doubt that the Reapers actually exist.

Shepard was right on both previous accounts, it's time the Coundil starts taking whatever Shepard says on faith

That would only show her what Shepard believes to be true, not actually convince her of it.

With such huge differences, it is inevitable.

And in what context?

To prevent future conflict.  If the genophage stopped working, the krogan would inexhaustibly multiply and war would inevatbly break out as they gobbled up more and more galactic resources.

It seemed to convince Liara of the threat. Why not the asari Councilor as well? It will show her what Shepard saw. How about Shepard conversation with Sovereign? There are many things in Shepard's head that would convince her.

Something I've always wondered, would an Asari even be able to differentiate the person's fantasies and dreams from  something that actually happened?

Liara was able to that when she melded with Shepard during ME1.

Difficult to say, would probably depend on any acts of aggression on their part, at which point it wouldn't be mere prevention anymore.

It would only convince her of the fact that Shepard heard Sovereign say that it was part of a geth collective. Or that Saren programmed or "convinced" it to say that. We've been down this road before, we know what will happen.

So why are you willing to give the krogan an opportunity - despite past transgressions - but aren't willing to give the other three races that same chance?

Even without the genophage the Krogans would be splintered and the council military in orbit would prevent any starships from being built.

Shhhh! My Shepard told Liara that the scene with Kelly in her head was a weird dream that she had. This was Liara's look ...

Because they aren't a hivemind species, dear, simple as that.

Also, do note that that I might just not give the krogan that chance, depending on what time of the month it is. I happen to be somewhat fickle when it comes the whole krogan/genophage issue. Still, putting restrictions in place would probably be a priority, regardless of how I feel.

I would love for the asari Councilor to meld with Shepard after destroying the Alpha Relay.  That way she can see Object Rho and maybe then she'll understand the Reapers are real.

I'm so tempted to not import that file, I have several with my canon femShep and I know one or two of those files I had Kelly feed my fish.  The first one does and I plan on importing that one first.  Only because I lost both Tali and Mordin.  I think those loses are going to prove problematic.

As expected, that pic will be a mainstay in many a Cerberus/TIM related discussion to come.

Personally I still can't believe the alternate cover is actually better this time...

I'm still not a fan of the standard villain pose they've given The Illusive Man, it seems far too much... twirling moustache villain?

In addition to that, there's no cigarette or glass of alcohol!

Can't say I didn't experience TIM as such in the game, although I see where you're coming from.

And yes, the lack of a good scotch is indeed troubling.
