PC has more hot keys than console. Keyboard/Mouse more precise, more natural to any PC Gamer. Just more logical.

I'm aware of the advantages of keyboards and mice. Sometimes it's just more comfortable to game with a gamepad.

I happen to think this is all moot because the controls on PC are phenomenally better than controller controls anyways. It'd be even better if the controls weren't simply ported, but even so, still better. <-- Not subjective!

It's like he's asking BioWare to help him drive in reverse on a highway.

Yeah just because you say something is subjective does not make it so.  I think PC controls are better most of the time, but I would never make such an up-my-own-butt claim that the opinion I have is an objective truth.

For first person games I prefer my PC. For third person, my consoles. Simple as that.

I don't get why people wants controller for a game like ME (not to talk abou DA:O which it's clearly designed to be played with keyboard + mouse)., when I played the demo on my PS3 found much more frustrating the experience with the controller, specially when aiming.

If we are talking about a FIFA, or God of War equivalent or F1, sure, controller is mch better, but..... for ME?

Bioware just laughs at screaming drama queens, and rightly so.

It seemed to work for same-sex romances, so I can see where the TC is coming from.

That's something they wanted to do way back in ME1 but didn't have the balls (they recorded same-sex dialogue for both Ash and Kaidan).  But we are in the year 2011 now, social justice is making progress every year (especially for gays), and good game developers aren't going to alienate 10% of the population.  Totally different scenario.

The Kaishley lines only made it in because the team didn't bother to mark them as Meer/Hale-only, not because they were actively planning to have s/s-romances. Granted, they did consider it afterwards because they already had the lines, but decided against it because the lines themselves weren't of a high enough quality.

And if they "didn't have the balls", they wouldn't have included the FemShep/Liara romance in the first place. Or the gay romance back in Jade Empire. Or Juhani in KotOR.

Also, if those 3 to 4% of the population warrant such an extensive catering to, then what about the bigger minorities? Might as well include the option to have Shepard be left-handed, obese or to have every romanceable be black.

Or to have pc gamers play with a controller, of course.

OK, you have a point with the Jade Empire.  KoTOR's option however was meager at best.

I do have quite a few problems with your response though: It's 2-13% homosexual/bisexual, with educated and informed guesses putting it closer to 9-10% of the population, you compared homosexuality to being obese, you made a confused analogy to left-handedness, and then you bring race up apparently ignoring Jacob and mixed race Kaidan/Ashley.

I'm not sure why I bother responding to these types of things, as you obviously have a bias against gay people for whatever reason, so I'm not going to attempt to correct all of the fallacies going on here.

Whilst I think there are some games on PC that benefit from controller support I don't really see the ME series being one of them. Unless it takes ten minutes to implement then I don't blame them for leaving it out.

I briefly tried using my xbox controller to play DE:HR on the PC, then I remembered why I had chosen to buy it for the PC and stopped.

Edit: And has probably been pointed out, they did bother to include support for JE which was more suited to a controller.

All of KotOR's romances were on the meager side compared to what we have now, but meh.

And why can't I compare homosexuality to obesity or left-handedness when it comes to games? I don't see why people belonging to those categories wouldn't want to be represented, especially considering that all of society appears to conform to much smaller minorities. And I said have every romanceable (human) be black, not just Jacob. Just Liara obviously wasn't enough for lesbians on here, so we might as well have a black Miranda alongside a lesbian one in ME3.

And I'm far from biased again gay people. I do, however, have a problem with their gross overrepresentation in recent BioWare games (among other things).

Meaning what?  That I'm over-exaggerating?

I asked a question and you're trying to paint me with what color brush?  Too many people try to blow things out of proportion.  My, obviously, rhetorical question highlights that you were trying to blow things out of proportion.  Hopefully you'll think about whether your reactions are warranted in any future threads.

Why wpuld you gimp yourself? If my machine wasn't such an inconsistent piece of junk I'd damn well be playing on it - w/o a controller instead of my 360. 10 hotkeys are better than 3.

I play most computer games with an xbox controller, not counting RTS's. (well, I sometimes play tropico with an xbox controller.)

That was due to restrictions from Lucas' side of things.

If it was just that, an option, I wouldn't have any problems with it. Sadly, I don't see BW including the simple option to turn certain romances on or off, on account of the "Gay Mafia" calling them homophobes and/or boycotting them if they did. As usually happens to people suggesting said, in my eyes rather sensible option on the forums.

I'm kind of curious about this "Gay Mafia".  When have they forced Bioware to pander to them, against the writers' and developers' explicit wishes?  How can they be so effective when other forumite cliques (like the one that wants overheating weapons back, or the Mako) are so inneffective?

Also, I think if a dialoge choice to enter into a gay relationship comes up but isn't mandatory for the player to select, that still counts as a choice.

Kasumi is mainstay?  As in available without extra purchases being made from the beginning?

That's sort of irrelevant to the fact that she exists.  But if you're on the PS3?  Yes, she is.

Oh my god. There's a "John Crichton" on BSN. There are now two people on BSN with Crichton avatars. That's... irrelevant to the discussion, granted, but still rather amazing.

Besides, this thread is founded on a terrible post anyway.

But it will inevitably still begin with flirting from romanceable X, as is usually the case. It's awkward enough when every female does it, but I don't want Anders and Kaidan doing it as well.

Just give me my option turn off romances, so I can play ME1 and DA2 without any romances at all, and ME3 without established characters getting murdered by the writers.

It's all about preferences. 9 years ago I probably would have preferred a mouse and keyboard over a controller for shooters too but now I'm more comfortable with a 360/PS3 controller.
