Seriously? And you are calling someone who's complaining about lack of console controller support a PC fanboy? Well... fine.

PC 360/Controller support

PC Games w/Controller support (practially every game including The longest journey wow).  PC Games w/o controller support !!Bioware pc games!!    Not for bloody Mass Effect 1 or 2, not for Dragons Age 1 or 2 this tells me someone high up in EA/Bioware has issues likely the publisher who set rules.

Previous thread by me http://social.biowar...8/index/5890606

Look this IS insane dont tell me to take my money elsewhere, dont tell me to shut up and use keyboard and mouse, dont tell me buy a console, dont tell me this is a publisher/developement decision its insane.

I dont think Battlefield 3 for PC will have it either.................

So basically you can't use ANY controller for the PC versions of these games? That is kind of lame considering some computers vary and to be honest if PCs are supposed to be "the best" for gaming and flexibility...I mean..****...Thats why I use an Xbox - no bull**** here boss.

I happen to think this is all moot because the controls on PC are phenomenally better than controller controls anyways. It'd be even better if the controls weren't simply ported, but even so, still better. <-- Not subjective!
It's like he's asking BioWare to help him drive in reverse on a highway.

Actually, this is the very definition of subjective.

No, that's objective fact. That's the very reason why FPS games have no cross-platform servers, because best console veterans would be obliterated by PC casuals only because mouse and keyboard are superior way of moving around and aiming than analog sticks when playing a shooter game.
And it's not about prefference - I respect that you like to play shooters with pads,  I don't have to understand it. You just can't aim as fluently with a pad as you can with a mouse.

Still subjective, "I" play FPS better with a gamepad than mouse/keyboard.  I can't aim well with a mouse at all, even if it is the "superior" setup.  The overall trend may be that mouse/keyboard beats gamepad for FPS, but on an individual level (e.g. subjective) this isn't always the case.  I used to play Half-Life deathmatch extensively online using...an N64 controller.  I held my own just fine.  I would say that the newer analog sticks on an XBox 360 controller are even better.  The old argument about aiming speed...the mapping software does allow you set the sensitivity of the analog stick to make it move fast.

The claim that mouse/keyboard is strictly superior to gamepad cannot be made because there are plusses and minuses to both.  Keep in mind that FPS were available for PC long before consoles even had analog sticks that made FPS possible, so player skill is undoubtedly a factor.

@Grominir, yes, on subjective level of experience - gamepad might be better for you. And I respect that.
On the objective level - people who use mouse and keyboard have shorter reaction time and can quickly aim without the game assist... and be effective at it.

I'm not arguing with you liking to play your FPS on a console, it's fine by me. Not that I understand it. But then again, one of my friends prefers to play TPP like Assassin's Creed on a PC while I can't touch that game on anything different than my PS3.

@Kasai, please explain thought process because I can't understand how supporting console controlls on a PC is PC elitism or fanboyism. That's quite radicchio.

And people wander why pc players are considered a bunch of elitists nerds...

PC players are familiar with the entire alphabet.
Xbox players are only familiar with 4 letters.
PS3 players are only familiar with simple shapes and primary colours.

 B)

If a random pc player is not smart enough to learn the entire alphabet, does he deserve to be left out?

No, he uses a mac.

It doesn't matter for me because I find PC keyboard much more responsive than console controllers. This is not disturbing news for everyone. I suggest you use the keyboard and mouse for PC games, believe me after some time you will quit spending money on expensive Joystick.

That my 0.02 cent!

Is joytokey any different from xpadder?
Because the stick sensitivity in that thing is horrible, not even close to proper controller support.

BTW there's no way in hell i'm using a controller for ME3, i'm just sympathizing with the op in that games should support their users.

Some people like mouse+keyboard, others prefer gamepads.  For FPS/TPS games, I vastly prefer gamepads...and yet I seem to be in the minority on this one.  Just as I prefer a trackball over a mouse.

For an RTS or an isometric RPG (remember those?), I wouldn't want to try one with a gamepad.

This person is not talking like the real Gromnir, watch out it's a trap!

I haven't used xpadder but you can set the joystick sensitivity in joytokey.

Seriously? You're making a thread complaining about how you play a game? If you're going to be a gamer learn to adapt dude. I've played with things as elementary like with an NES controller all the way through PC/Modern Consoles. It just takes some getting used to. That and I hardly see how this is ME3 related.

BioWare probably won't have controller support for ME3, which makes his complaint ME3 related somewhat.
