My current computer will run DA:O at a medium-to-low setting so I anticipate getting a new updated rig in a month or less.  Can I re-download the CE and the bonuses (Stone Prisoner, Wardens Keep, etc...) from D2D, or is that just a one time thing?
Also, should I burn a copy of the download file in case my system crashes or something?  Will it fit on a normal DVD or do I need a dual-layer DVD?

Always burn a copy of the download file if you won't want to redownload it. Steam will do a backup for you and split it between different sized disks for later burning.

You will need a dual-layer DVD. I am considering getting the D2D version. If I do decide to get that version, I will burn a copy to a DVD, and also copy it to my external hard drive just as an extra backup.

Throw it on a Flash Drive IMO. I've got a few 20 gb ones lying around, they're pretty cheap now.

While I don't like Direct2Driver, I'm fairly certain that paid-for content will be available in the future.

You can re-download the full game + any bonuses from D2D at any point in time. I've done business there quite a few times and have had no problem after a re-format to get something back off their servers. I don't know for certain if Warden's Keep + Stone Prisoner will actually be included in the download for certain, but if it isn't, you'll be able to log into your Social Club account within the game and be able to download it whenever you'd like I assume. Of course, after you've associated said serial keys with your Social Club account.

Thanks for the responses.
So the activation keys for the Stone Prisoner, Wardens Keep, and whatever else can be reused if I upgrade my computer?

it says right on the promo code entry on this site that the promo codes can only be used once. I think the only thing you will loose is the memory band, staff, rings or what ever trinkets you get with the rave card promo code.

edit:
Actually I am going to look into this more right now because the stone prisoner also uses a promo code

http://dragonage.bioware.com/addon/

looking for where those codes are entered right now. Thats where I saw the warning about entering it.

2nd edit

WARNING! redeeming this code will use it permanently; make sure you are logged in with your in-game account!

That is the warning given at the Redeem promo code dialog on this site. It can be found under our profile tab in the nav bar over   <---------------- that way.

I hope I'm wrong about this but it was worth mentioning.

Devs have stated previously (forgive me I can't find the post on the old boards) that when you buy DLC (or you get free content via a code), the content will show up under your social account accessable through the game menu, as well as under your profile on the Social Site.  So if your computer crashes, you upgrade, what have you; as long as you log into your account when you load the game, you'll see all your content as "purchased" and can download it again.

edited for spelling : maybe I shouldn't post at 5:15 am lol.

That would make it so the codes are all account related. I never thought of that. Thanks Hyland Posted Image
