If we can have something as ridiculous as a Prothean seriously being rumored for a squadmate, why not just take it up one notch and make one that's a husk, too? Its special abilities could be "Energy pulse" in a throwback to the ones that the Geth used, as well as "Erratic movement" where it distracts opponents by moving in a bizarre fashion while closing in to attack, and maybe something else. Think about it: what would be a bigger slap in the Reapers' face than getting their own technology turned against them in the form of a random malfunctioning husk?

Or "Husky" as I believe we should be calling it.

What could possibly go wrong?

Look at how wildly popular Dogmeat from Fallout 3 was. Dogmeat didn't talk and just barked and attacked things (and was handy for carrying vendor trash and GRENADES). As much of a joke as a husk squadmate might sound like, its simple loyalty and novelty might catch on.

Yeah I loved the fallout games, always tried to keep Dogmeat alive. Stupid fleabag was always getting himself killed.

Well if we can have a husk as a buddy team mate like Dogmeat he better get his own special HORSE ARMORZ!!11 dlc..

lol

Yes! His recruit mission should be at a husk 'factory', with a ton of spikes everywhere. Mordin should like hack him so he's friendly or something. Or perhaps only for Morinth with her mind control thing?

To answer your question zingro, no, asari cannot mate with husks. They need DNA coding from organics and you cannot do that with a synthetic no matter how much you hump it.
Welll that was crude of me......

Husky should be the optional pet for those that do not wish to have a cyber dog leaving bolts on the clean, plush carpet of Shep's cabin.

It took me about 5 play throughs before I noticed Shepard has a bathroom in her/his quarters.  So I wouldn't put it pass me if I missed the carpet.
