Nay. Get rid of them all. Just stop wasting everyone's time please, and use the development resources for more conversation or deeper RPG mechanics.

Oh, come on. It may be impractical for ME3 (galactic war and all), but it definitely adds a demension to the game.

Oh, and for development time, there are probably several other things that could should have been axed because they appeal to such a low audience percentage.

I like and prefer the Mako from ME1 to anything else Bioware have done, but since planet exploration is dead and will not be coming back, nor will the Mako, then I'd rather have no vehicles at all. The hovercraft was terrible and I never do those missions. And don't even get me started on the LOTSB taxi. That's not even a vehicle really, it's just a roller-coaster sequence.

They should be left to certain areas just how they are in Gears of War 1 and 2. Just not with incredibly damaging bat-like creatures that attack you if you're not in the light, and can tear your vehicle up faster than you can kill them if they start attacking the vehicle.

The problem with the MAKO was it couldn't climb moutains for anything, the climbing of mountains should not have been so difficult.  Or at least, they shouldn't have been so steep that we'd have those problems.

Probably the biggest mistake I have ever seen in a game.

Before I say my opinion I have to say that the Mako wasn't hated for its controls as much as much as the environment it had to be piloted in. The mako did just fine in flat to hilly ground, but the random bumpmapping terrain was just terrible, and the lack of rear thrusters didn't help.

Alright now on to the hamerhead... I think this had been expressed multiple times already, but the hammerhead had fantastic maneuverability. I personally preferred the mako because it felt more... grounded, but the hammerhead was great fun to fly around with. However the thing had frakking paper armor. Even on the easier difficulties the hammerhead would turn to flames VERY quickly. With the godlke accuracy of all the enemies faced while fighting, it led to much rage from me. Its weapons also sucked, I missed far more often with auto-tracking missles than I ever did with the Mako's machine gun! We really need a direct fire weapon.

Other than that, more vehicle opportunities would be great if done right. For example, like you said zakatak, flying one of those gunships during a major military operation would provide both the scale and seriousness of the operation to help set the atmosphere of the game.

Although this is just my personal preference, I hope we don't get any too arcady action sequences. This is a serious intergalactic war with heavy consequences, I don't want to take out a reaper with a gunship or something silly like that.

I  pretty much agree with all of that, especially the bolded parts.

The Mako felt more like a real vehicle on a new world vs a mech rabbit on speed.

Absolutely. The HH has fantastic maneouverability yes, but playing with it in the levels feels a bit... I don't know... like a toy?
The mako is far more "grounded", and does a lot to satisfy the desire for piloting a planetary rover on some lifeless surface.

Makohead. Engines and seeker missiles of the Hammerhead, hull and main gun of the Mako.

Where the devs messed up is that they portayed both vehicles as having the same function. The HH is built for recon and guerilla style hit-and-runs. The Mako is a sieging vehicle meant for tanking down heavily fortified bunkers head on.

I know what I'm talking about I used to be USAF F-16 crew chief.

Good point.
Then I agree with the person earlier in this thread who said both should be available (or at least a different choice) depending on the situation it is to be used in.

I'll play any vehicle, sky car, or ground buggy mission the ME3 team can make.

I enjoyed them immensely!

Nay- Hammerhead was awful, and the Mako was adequate but I spent half the game in that thing. Time I'd rather spend playing as Shepard.

I wouldn't have a problem with vehicles for the most part, but if they bought the mako back, I'd hope to see the control improved.

I loved the Mako, the only thing I didn't like was the terrain, I think carrying what amounts to an Armored personnel carrier is a good idea for exploration missions and can also provide Infantry fire support on those missions too. The hammerhead was basically a paper plane by comparison if it had shields and armour like the Mako I think it would make a good scout Vehicle.
But  I still think Mako is the better of the two.

I've always been pretty "meh" about the vehicles in the ME series. The Mako was clumsy and slow, and the terrain was insane, the hammerhead was evidently made of paper-mache and it's rocket launcher was laughably weak, so I have no real overwhelming desire to see either of them reappear in ME3. Now, sequences like the car chase n LotSB would be quite welcome, it was fast paced, fun, and showed me that they CAN do a decent vehicle sequence. So, while I won't write off vehicle in ME3 completely, I will say that they are a feature ir really could care less about.

I'm a big NEY. I never liked any of the vehicle missions. They were always just a big pain in the butt.

I'm all for it, so a Yay! from me.

Personally I haven't driven either the Mako or the Hammerhead but I love games that include vehicles and the ability to drive them. What I mean by drive is that you drive in real time rather than being excluded to a cutscene or being a mere passenger ala Call of Duty. So if they include vehicles in ME 3 then I will be one happy fan, I hope you get to fly the Gunship.

Thats my vote guys.

I'm going to say Nay.

I enjoyed piloting the Mako in ME1 on Therum, Noveria, Virmire and Ilos but I hated the way it worked on the N7 missions ( the stupid terrain ).

As for the Hammerhead, beleive it or not I actually enjoyed that less than the Mako.

I also recently played through Gears of War and Gears of War 2 recently ( in order to get ready for Gears of War 3 ) and the bits that hated the most were the vehicle sections.More often that not I find that forced vehicle sections in games suck.

I can drive a vehicle. I can shoot a gun. But please do not make me do both at the same time. Not when you've got a teammate sitting next to you.

The Makohead sounds awesome as well, but I'm gonna go with The Hammako just because it makes it sound japanese. :)

Sillyness aside, I really do miss the Mako, clonky as it was.. hated that Hammerhead thingy.

Both the Mako and HAmmerhead had it quirks but the Mako seemed to be the more real. The Hammerhead always struck me as a recon vehicle ( weak armor but high speed manuverability) but the Mako feels like a tank. I felt that the Geth laughed at me in the Hammerhead but a high velocity slug to the chest from the Mako fixed that. Overall I would rathe explore in the Hammerhead sice its faster but the Mako would win a fight hands down.
