Vehicles: Yay or Nay?

The shuttle would be for direct drop of at a pinpointed area , for fast deployment.
No weapons, and would have very minimal upgrade capabilities.
Hammerhead for fast exploration , is to maneuver over water terrain and would have mid level up grade capabilities, weapons , booster jets , lite shield barrier.
Mako for ground exploration in hostile enviorments and heavy battle areas, strongest armor , better armor and weapons all able to be upgraded to high level battle tank
This system would allow user who don't want to explorer but head into the mission use the shuttle.
Users would get a planetary scan informing them of the planets hot spots , hostiles enviorments to give the player an idea on which vehicle would be best suited for the mission
The player would also have the ability to exit or enter the vehicle at their own discretion.
To me this would satisfy all players Mako, hammerhead and shuttle players.
Me myself I liked the Mako the terrain just wasn't suited for the vehicle ,maybe if a wench and grappling hook was add for pulling up those high steep mountains would have helped.
But I say yes to vehicles.

You could get the Mako to climb a nearly verticle rock wall if you hit it on a diagonal.

Nah, it needed to be somewhat to differentiate it from the Mako, although a lack of armor isn't that. Still, considering all the complaints, they could've issued a rather simple patch (or included the fix with another one) that tripled or quadrupled its armor, so that ramming once again becomes a viable tactic.Seboist wrote...

More Hammerhead please, although its lack of armor needs to be fixed.
Never got why the team didn't simply patch that one.
The issue with the Hammerhead is the armament. Give it the Mako's turret(canon + machine gun) and it'll be perfect.

M-35 Mako = siege
M-44 Hammerhead = recon

Rear thrusters/boosters were a common request, as was an end to the bouncing. They gave us those things. We also got zero shields, crappy missiles, and lost the machine gun too, but hey, at least they're trying.

Yes, I know I use to do that all the time, I basically was adding in the wench and grappling hook as an upgrade for players who may have found it difficult to do so

I would love to see the Mako return in ME3, with better level/control design to account for it. Sadly I don't think we'll see it, as they're focusing even more on the shooter elements. Remember your pillars Bioware! Exploration!

I've also seen some threads about using the Normandy. I think it can be possible, I mean, if you take the same controls from the car in LotSB, all it needs is a fire Javelin missles (left trigger/right trigger) and Thanix cannon, if upgraded, can be placed on left bumper/right bumper.

I say yay, but for the hammerhead. Make it much more powerful (or at least mako standard) the same can go for durability and perhaps slow it down a bit.

One tiny problem. Flying ships is not Shepard's job description. It's the equivalent of expecting a Navy SEAL to pilot a fighter jet.

More along the lines of the Mako/Hammerhead in Overlord kind of deal.

The hammerhead didn;t feel right in my opinion, it didn't feel or behave like something out of the ME Universe.
LotSB like car scenes are very welcome too. the vehicles are good for variety.
