Vehicles: Yay or Nay?

I don't care what type of vehicle it is just as long as it's well done, Also i do like the brake in gameplay that vehicles represents.
In my opinion ME 1 has a big advantage over ME 2 in that the vehicles sections offers something slightly different than just running around with a gun for 25 hours which can become monotonous.

Edit: and if I remember right, Jack had suggested it in the first place, so we could do it together.

I kinda hate driving things in video games. That said, I'm itching to fly the Normandy just once!

using it for a huge set of exploration based side quests of minor game-plot importance, of nice game-story importance (if you get what im saying)..
what i mean is that id like them to not be mandatory for the "main story", that way Mako haters or ppl who were in general too bored of it wont mind it as a feature, but Mako lovers will have a chance to relive some ME1 fun moments.

I played some Firewalker missions, and then decided to go play the Mako mission on Noveria just to compare.
There has got to be a happy medium in there if vehicles are in.
The Hammerhead is unrealistic and impractical. Guided missiles are no challenge, and can be spammed all day. The vehicle can be destroyed with a 5 second burst from the weakest rifle. Fans are useless on extreme temperature/high gravity/thin air worlds.
The Mako has 4 zoom levels, which is too many. You can go to the top of a mountain and pick people off at 2000 yards. The physics are confusing and the tires seem to have infinite grip. The terrain makes exploration an annoyance.
I would prefer it if the Mako was brought back, with 2 zoom levels (not-zoomed or 8x zoom), more powerful jumpjets with some controllability, and slightly better physics.

Weird, it only has two zoom levels based on my memory of the subject.

Erm...
Okay, let me rephrase that. 4 different camera angles.
Far.
Close.
2x Zoom.
10x Zoom.
I just think it should be restricted to 2 different camera angles, so I don't have to scroll through them.

I still agree with zakatak if vehicles are coming back it would be good to have better balance, but I would prefer if the vehicle was closer to the hammerhead (fast attack raider) instead of the mako (MBT).

The Atlas looks like a good edition to spice up gameplay, without providing content that is at a much lower level of quality than the rest of the game.
Ultimately it's a yes to vehicles from me but they need to be used in the correct manner. It's no easy task and i wouldn't blame them if they left out vehicle levels (with the exception of the atlas parts) all together.

I'm not gonna lie, (and I don't just mean the Galaxy Map, for any smartarses out there) piloting the Normandy would be brilliant. Maybe that's the killer new feature.
The Killer New Feature is something story/character related.
But i would love to pilot Normandy too, thing is BW doesn't have much experience with that kind of thing.

Hammerhead: nay...Nay.....NAAAAAAAYY. I hated that bloody thing.
Car chase in LoTSB: Yay. That , was a very good time. Besides for Liara...she didn't like it much. But shes always been a complainer sometimes.
