Hmmm... actually...

Bring back the Mako, but:
1) 1.5x the jump height with some minor controllability in the air
2) one zoom level, not 4
3) flatter maps please
4) add speed, no boost necessary though
5) more believable physics, no mega-adhesive tires

THIS.

Trying to get to that stupid mine riding on squares wasn't very fun.

I want the Mako back. Screw the Hammerhead...a kid's toy.

Since Bioware drastically shrunk the level size in ME2, there was of course no need for a vehicle. The Hammerhead was just a rushed peice of DLC. So unless they bring back those big levels, like the approach to the lab in Noveria, I doubt we'll see any meaningful implementaion of vehicle combat in ME3.

~edit~

Yay for Mako.

But I wonder if there could be also similar scenes as sky car chase in LotSB. Doesn't even need to be sky car but mini submarine player and squad use on some Hanar world for example.

Nay for me, although, I don't mind either way. The Mako and Hammerhead just seemed like a side-thing to me. I'd prefer if they focused on space combat instead like with the Normandy, at least fighting alongside your unified fleet against the Reapers as the other posters suggested.

I still want a real damn tank, or at least a tracked APC, no more of this bouncy wheel crap or hover cars. Give me tracks and a good main gun with a missile system as back up.

I liked the hammerhead style levels. I don't really care for the vehicle either way, but the hammerhead handled better, so the control scheme should translate.

Use the hammerhead, use whatever left of the mako to better outfit the Hammerhead. I prefer speed over armor, what good of it if you end up getting hammered to hell by the Reapers?

I liked the mako when it was used for missions like Virmire, but the sandbox planets were ridicilous in their terrain. Like driving a hummer up Mt Everest. I played on PC and the controls weren't great but got used to them after a while.

The Hammerhead was okay, but it's magically healing ability defied explanation and not knowing how much damage you'd taken until your ass was on fire and you blew the fark up was lame. Also I missed the cannon like the makko had.

Sure, some Tanks, APCs, IFVs, Arty, Gunships, Fighters, Hovercraft, and maybe even a Submarine.

I loved the Mako. I do believe it was the terrain more than anything that upset people, though I enjoyed it a lot.

Those of you who didn't like the Mako for the terrain, remember "Bring Down the Sky"? Good Mako terrain there.

Really? To me it wasn't any different than the planets that didn't have horrible terrain.

Amazing how everyone completely changed their mind about the Mako the second they scrapped it.

I preferred the Hammerhead's controls, it just needed more durability.

Honestly, I liked the Mako. I never had a problem with it, to me it handled like the jeeps from Halo, which I was money with. I thought it was fun and I loved jumping missiles and finding paths up impossible angles.

On the other hand I hate the Hammerhead. It was glass and it's missiles were spotty at best. It had no shelf life for me, as pointed out earlier it froze up on a planet the Mako would cruse over no problem. Also, I could get out of the Mako on a whim, not so the Hammerhead; thanks for taking my option to stand on a planet when I want... and don't get me started on the way the thing's "health" or lack thereof works. BEEP, BEEP, beep a little faster, oh no I'm on fire, and dead. I just lasted thirty seconds on normal against two turrets; thanks for that. I didn't know I was about to explode. Often by the time you know you're in trouble it's too late, you'll die.

I would love the Mako be brought back, or even something in the middle, just please; no Hammerhead.

My two cents.

The maps were technically designed as environmental puzzles. If you don't just bee-line it at 80 degrees up the steep incline in front of you, you can drive around and fine side roads leading up to wherever the mission is.

I think, anyway, based on my last ME1 playthrough.

Sorry I missed your post when I was reading, lol, don't know why. But the thing is most often the only people who talked about it were the disapointed ones, for example, have you ever told a waiter, bring out the manager, this was the best food ever! Probably not. Most people who speak out do so because they have an issue. It sucks but for every one person complaining there are probably a dozen who were either happy or just didn't care one way or the other. Dev's only hear from the vocal upset not the silent happy... lol
