If you have something you absolutely need to do before you die, then you are setting yourself up for disappointment.

Nothing comes to mind. Still going to hang around though, just in case.

Oh! I just remembered that I really want to at least finish my education before I die. It would be a huge wast of time otherwise XD

I sincerely regret not reading this thread before, that page about virgins arguing with each other (or whatever it was) would've been a gold mine for photoshops. So, maybe something to do before I die is not to miss a thread like this in the future.

:P

On a serious note, I want to die knowing that I have lived life and have done so as a good person so that when I die, I can do so with my head held high. As for particular dreams, fantasies, desires, hopes and whatnot... that's more private.

;)

However, my question to you is before the journey has ended, what would you want to experience before that happens?

Experience a cherry blossom tree festival.

I really have no great wish or need on my mind, besides to hope, when the day comes, that I can look back on a good and fulfilled life :)

On second thought: To make a monument on moon and write my rules on its pillars and wall.
A stone monument can hardly pass 7000 years and survive On earth, but on the moon it will last for even millions of years :)

If I was asked this 10 yrs ago I would have said something like climb the highest peaks in each state, become a professional artist, have an apt. in Philly and a cabin in Montana. Now I'll just be happy to pay off my school loans and afford a house one day. Reality and its dream destroying ways..

The most important? Have a bunch of kids, nothing lesser than 3.
I'd also really like to learn hebrew (Already quite far), aramaic and ancient greek. Preferably more.

As for my personal "bucket list" items, I've already done most of them, and I have a hard time thinking of new ones. I wouldn't mind going and back and doing some of them again.

Travel goals? I would like to revisit Paris, Florence, Rome, Venice, and Pompeii. I would probably like to visit some other sites of cultural significance, but given my interests in history and art, those sites that I've already visited would probably warrant a revisit before I'd go somewhere else. I'm a huge Michelangelo fan, and much of my travel has been dictated by where his works are located. Naturally, that makes Florence and Rome at the top of my list for sites to revisit. I also love antiquities, especially Hellenistic and Roman art and architecture. I suppose I would like to see the Elgin Marbles at the British Museum, and the Parthenon/Acropolis of Athens, but modern Athens I'm not quite so jazzed about.

Romantic goals? None. Been there, done that, don't want to do it again. I'm not bitter or anything, just over it. I got bigger fish to fry.

Family goals? I'd like to live long enough to see my nephews and my niece really settled in their lives. And I'd like for my family to all be happy and healthy and fulfilled as I lay dying so I can expire without worry. I never wanted children of my own, and I'm not sorry I didn't have kids. I'm 100% okay with the fact that my DNA won't carry forward. I would like to gather up all of my archives of family photos and genealogical information and bestow it upon a new custodian in the family, since I spent a lot of time gathering all that stuff. I don't even know who that would be, but it is important to preserve it. That is really my family legacy.

Experiential goals? I'm not the sky-diving or thrill-seeking type, so this list is pretty short. I would like to become fluent in French and Spanish before I die, since I've got a good foundation in both languages already, and I love the sound of both languages spoken. I would love to take a life drawing class in Italy, especially in Florence/Tuscany.

Books/movies/games? I can't think of any books that I haven't already read for this list. As for movies, again, I can't think of any that are on the horizon that I would sorely regret not seeing. I am kinda looking forward to The Hobbit, but not exactly on pins and needles. As for games, I'd really like to play Mass Effect 3, but it's not really on the level of an actual bucket list item.

So yeah, if I were to die sooner rather than later, I wouldn't have too many regrets or unfulfilled wishes. I guess I'm lucky I can say that. :)

Well, for a guy, sure. But by the time most women reach my age, we've learned that it's really not all it's cracked up to be. ;)

Pay off all debts, go on a videogame marathon to finish games I haven't finished or have yet to play, get my masters degree, travel to Europe....

I have no real interest in finding a husband and having a child.

So overall, with the exception of only a few things I want to do, I am content.

I know. I've wanted to go since I was seven. I haven't been able to make it thirteen years in a row. Literally the most frustrating thing in my entire life.

But I am going to make it March of next year barring some disaster.
