I just read the following tweets:
Mike Laidlaw: "Managed to draw a direct comparison between [redacted] and Captain Kirk today. That felt pretty damn good"
response from Mark Darrah:
"oh [redacted] [he/she] is going to be a great character!"

sounds like we're getting a new character. But it does sound like they're very early in the development stage, doesn't it? A new dlc character would be great though...
