Greetings,
Recently I started my "final" playthrough, which was supposed to be turned into my perfect save. Problem with "perfect saves" is that sometimes they are not what was intended. And I'm afraid, I might've screwed something indeed...

This one is gonna be geeky, so prepare yourselves.

So I'm like before two final missions in the plot and taking my time to do Loyalty missions, side-quests etc. It slipped my mind that LotSB and Arrival are supposed to be done post-SM, but dammit, I couldn't resist to complete LotSB now. Now I'm concerned when I'm reading those all posts saying that "LotSB was the first bridge, Canonical way to do it is post-SM, it makes more sense, blah blah blah". Yeah, I can see why Liara-romance scene makes more scene and is better to be done after beating the game (and that's why I will probably reload the game wasting 20-30 min of gameplay...), same goes for Arrival, but what's with this speaking of LotSB? I mean, it makes perfect sense to be done now, as our relationship with Cerberus becomes complicated after and all. I never heard it's even a bridge (unlike Arrival) until now... I will probably save the Arrival post-SM though. EDIT: Here's hoping it will import the most recent save not the ending of SM.

Do you think BioWare would award the players who completed those DLCs as it was intended or I'm becoming paranoid with my fierceness to do all things perfectly?

If they even acknowledge that you did it pre-SM, which I doubt they will, then it'll almost certainly be in the form a variant line of dialogue. Besides which, there aren't really any decisions of note in Lair other than rekindling the romance, and none of them are dependent on when you do the DLC anyway. And there's only one outcome in Lair, no matter what: you kill the Broker, and Liara takes over. Hell, most of the dialogue in Lair itself is unchanged when you do it pre-SM. It's really just a handful of lines that change.

Yeah, I doubt it's going to matter except for possibly an alternate line of dialogue.

However, I agree with you--there's a "right" way to do things! LotSB needs to be done post-suicide mission, definitely, and Arrival has to be the absolute last thing you do in the game.

the sb doesn't really impact the story in any way i can tell. what i mean is that in the default(re: fresh start) ME3 liara finds the shadow broker and takes over regardless of whether or not you have the dlc, so in my mind the dlc is only there for extra insight as to how the sb worked, in regards to the story though it happens no matter what so i can't see anyone getting penalised for doing it before or after the suicide mish or even not at all, that would be going too far as in the end it's still an optional dlc.
any dlc for any game is always released after the initial game so the general assumption is that they come at the end of the story continuity, though i'm still up in the air. i've played through it a couple of times now and though i have 6 sheps of differing stories i have only 1 female and 1 male that are my true default and at the moment they are stuck deciding when to do it.
on one hand the story doesn't quite make alot of sense either way, liara doesn't really acknowledge either you're intention to hit the omega and possibly die or the outcome of it after. it gives you a great credit making scheme, a few decent upgrades etc. so it kinda makes sense to do it early on, maybe even before any loyalty missions.
again my 2 defaults are still undecided and are waiting in omega nervously, as for arrival it's definitely based after the suicide mish. oh i should point out that my defaults are on their second run-through. their first run was great but i did no dlc at all purposely to prepare for the second and final run, after the suicide i started again all souped up so now it's crunch time and what seems kinda logical doesn't seem quite practical lol.

You can rest easy: There's no "canonical" point you should be playing LotSB or Arrival in Mass Effect 2. Feel free to go on those missions any time you please after they're open.

Doing LotSB prior to the SM is best, but do not invite Liara up to the cabin until you've done the SM and Arrival.  She'll make comments about both.  That's the best way in my opinion.
