He was clearly trolling though.

True enough, and so are you. You two should friend each other so you can troll together.

Take a troll stroll in the park, then pay the troll toll at the bridge.

As sad as this fact is in itself, I'd recommend that you reconsider your behavior in your 'second home' because you're not coming across as a real person in this thread.

You're not very nice to new users. No wonder this place has a terrible reputation around the internets.

He's just building up your fortitude.  If you want softer responses, you should make softer statements.  Around here pretty much everything you shoot out is reflected back at you twice as hard.  So a statement like: "This SUCKS and the people who like it SUCK!" is dangerous to make if you don't want a hardball thrown your way.  If you said that about something universally hated, then you're gonna stay cool, no flames for you, but a lot of people like TSFH.

TSFH and companies like them make really good music. I actually listen music like that. It would be cool of they used it in a ME3 trailer but actually the ME-series has awesome music as it is. Songs like Suicide Mission, Shadow Broker etc. will without doubt do the job.

I don't doubt that Clint Mansell will bring forward even more awesome music.

Just waiting for a trailer with Shepard saying: I didn't ask for this.

Adam Jensen for squadmate and LI in ME3!

You know you want it!
Plus Faridah Malik as Joker's eternal rival ever since flight school with some hot, crippled hate-lovin' (and envious E.D.I.).

BioWare, make it happen!

+1

Woah, this place went from "What TSFH music would you like for ME3 (trailer)" into a bash-thread since last time I looked at it.

Time to reflect on yourselves, pals.

Most music created from Beethoven, Bach or other classical componists respectively do sound familiar too. Would you say those people were uncreative?

If you don't like it, by all means, then you don't like it. That is fine by me, I for my part don't like Lady Gaga or most of the new stuff people like to hear. That doesn't mean I am right however. I have a subjective opinion, you have yours and everyone else has theirs, period.

That discussion should be settled with that, I guess. Now back on topic.

Developers should be encouraged to use their own music.

DX:HR's trailer for me is the most memorable game trailer of the last 10 years.

Agreed. Although Assassin's Creed Revelation's trailer is a close second.Posted Image

Hint, it's not waffles.

True, but what I liked about DXHR's is that it seemed to have come out of no where. And that there's a very clear over all arc in the music, much like the game. Very well paced.

Really? Not waffles? ... Shame that. And I was thinking the banhammer is a giant stick with waffles and canadian mapple syrup on it. Now I don't know if I should do as I do.

No waffles ... I think you just dellusioned me. I demand compensation (no waffles!).

It sounds familiar because everyone is using it, so you hear a lot of it.

TsFH has a metric crapton of creativity - they have a large list of songs. That people seems to overuse the same few "militant" ones doesn't mean they don't have anything else.

Point us to what you think is better (so I can take a dump on it, because it clearly won't be)

Didn't I just wrote we should ditch that whole TSFH vs whatever in favour for returning to the original topic?

Well if Bioware could commission TSFH to write some new original music for the ME 3 trailers I'm all for it.

Two Steps From Hell has its place. They're very good at what they do.

I think I'd prefer Bioware to do some trailers with a bit more electronica instead, not because it would sound better so much as because it'd encourage them to tease story and character instead of flashy action cuts.
