I could get behind that.

One of the gaming outlets ran, in addition to the regular E3 trailers, a montage of mysterious (meaning: not seen previously or since) shots from ME3 set to a remix of Uncharted Worlds.

I haven't been able to track down the video since then, but it was way enticing than the actual E3 gameplay trailer.

Developers should be encouraged to use their own music.

DX:HR's trailer for me is the most memorable game trailer of the last 10 years.

Agreed.

We should get Clint Mansell's work on trailers.

Well, I just got home from a twelve hour shift, and there's bashing, and troll accusations all over.
Here's a quick suggestion: Do not feed the Trolls!

Back to the topic: I'd say, I encourage BW to use their own music in trailers - I still listening to the ME2 soundtrack almost every day (Suicide Mission is just the most Epic song I've ever heard) But considering their tendency to use TSFH music... And they're right. Those musics are awesome. I have a few albums from them, and I always have one or two on my MP3 player (yes, no MP4 or Ipod, Hungary is behind 5 years) That's why I'm courious pf your taste in their - and other artists - music.

Also if anyone thinks their tracks are too similar to each other, then here's this one:

+1

As soon as I saw that trailer I knew I would like Mass Effect.

Edit: Thanks for the +1. Always nice to build up internet points.:D

Me too, that trailer is EPIC.

I think Two Steps From Hell make incredible music that I love listening too, but I'm always open to other things.

I also agree that the music from the Deus Ex Human Revolution trailer is simply brilliant. I really felt like it told a story through the music alone. More games need soundtracks like that.

It worked for ME2, but it sounded like every other cleche action game/movie out there. I hope they are more subtle and use more ambient stuff like they did in ME1 for ME3.

"Goose bumos"? That must be one of your human things, like those funny bumps your females have. And whilst you humans are all racist and addicted to gambling (why else would you humans compare sexual intercourse with a prize), you have some seriously awe-inspiring music.

I concur, I take ME1's soundtrack and composition over ME2's anytime!

TSFH really is pretty bad though, and I'm not even appending an opinion disclaimer to that statement. Uh oh.
