I don't think I'd call Ashley's reaction a 'hissy fit', all she does is say 'in your dreams' and storm off. Frankly, given how obnoxious Shepard was just being, he got off light.

Anyways OP I"d go with Tali. She's in all three games, always at Shepard's side. She's a true trilogy romance.

Ashley, because she is the only charachter in the whole ME series that i can talk too without ever mentioning sex. I rather listen to her poetries then see someone hitting on Shepard. But appearantly Bioware wants to turn every female into sex object, her boobs are 2x times bigger in ME3.

That's tough. I like the drama that's created by the VS romance -- there's the start up attraction followed by a sense of betrayal (by one or both parties) and then the question lingers if they find their way back to each other after all the curveballs that have been thrown at them.

Tali's romance is also good pacing. She was enjoyable in ME1 so it was fun to see it progress to the next level in ME2. Keeping your canon in mind, ask yourself a couple questions:

1. How will you feel when Ashley comes back all bad-ass in her new role and rejoins your team? Challenged to win her hand again or is she just another squadmember?
2. What if Tali reveals her face finally in ME3? Will you wish to experience for the first time as her lover or casual squadmate?

You know, the dreaded "where is this going?" question. =p

Tight clothes or not, they still look bigger when you compare them when she had normal clothes on Normandy.

I dont have to choose in with my main shepard... Shep saved Kaidan instead of Ash, so in ME2 he was free to romance tali. However, i do have 2 other sheps that i play almost as much, 1 male and 1 female, the male is faithful to ash and the female is "cheating" on kaidan with garrus. So I agree with other posters...make multiple sheps and enjoy the variety.

Tali is a good character with a horrible romanc, it doesn't do her character any justice and the entire focus was her wanting to get boned by the man who swept her off her feet.

Of course, since Tali is so popular it lot of people loved her Romance Arc just the same, but I notice at the same time "Talimancers" also tend to also feel in the blank with the parts that was lacking "My Shep loved Tali since the beginning."

Do a save for Ashley, and another for Tali. Play ME3, then decide later.
Or you can create a checkpoint after the suicide mission and romance Tali. If you change your mind, you can reload and catch up. Slightly more efficient it seems than 2 separate playthroughs
