Canada isn't a super power. It's part of the United North American States along side the United States of America and Mexico. Besides it's not Vancouver, it's Seattle/Vancouver. The two cities have grown so large that they've merged. Also, Germany doesn't exist anymore, the European Union has become a sovereign nation instead of the economic-political alliance it is today.

I'm guessing they finally decided to give Greece back to the Turks, then.Image IPB

Is Tukey even a part of the european union? Anyways, what happened between the greeks and the turks durind that time is history now.

On topic:

Ya it's true that Canada rarely gets represented in video games. It's always nice to have a change of scenery.

Nope, it's part of the UNAS (United North American States) which consists of the modern day U.S, Canada and Mexico. There was a civil war between unionists and secessionists which was won by the unionists.

Honestly I was expecting somewhere else. I was thinking San Francisco (like in Star Trek movie), London, New York (overused I know), Rio, Berlin, Brussels, or somewhere like those places.

Canada should do very well in the future if things go correctly. Since we have the largest deposit of oil in the world after the middle east and i think we have largest amount of freshwater in the world(not exactly sure tho). Canada and america merging could be a good thing economically wise. just my 2 cents

Should have gone with Victoria, very nice place!

Toronto would have been a better choice... or Edmontmon, lul. (Bioware HQ) I live a couple kilometres away from their, actually.

Trying to hate us on Canadians?

I don't really care where it's based, the visual scope of the Earth scene was beautiful none the less.

Why not Toronto though? It's probably one of the most racially diverse cities on Earth, something Bioware claims to 'like'. It held the world record for height for quite some while, actually.

It seems like sci-fi just likes the west coast, Star Trek takes SF so Mass Effect takes Vancouver though SF does get reaped in the live action trailer.

The Reapers, being Vancouver Canuck fans decided to destroy the city after the Canucks once again had blown it in the Stanley Cup finals.

Our currency is worth more than the Canadian dollar and our military is more pwoerful than the Canadian army so I can't possibly see how they became a superpower,

The trial should either be held in Geneva, Munich, or New York City because this is balant fan-service and I for  one am tired of this from Bioware

By 2100, the US reduced its overbearing national tax rates to 0%.  An unfortunate side effect of this was that all government programs including space exploration had to be cut.

In conclusion, all restaurants are now Taco Bell.

i'd make a joke about the three seashells but i'm in the middle of some calibrations

I'm really having trouble contemplating how Vancouver is fanservice . . . and a place like New York wouldn't be. Even if it is fanservice, it's not blatant and implausible. There is no genuine complaint here.

Well based on what I know of Vancouver the city in the demo looks like a futuristic vancouver and I thin the devs even said it is.  Not that I have ever been there myself but from pics I have seen of the real vancouver there are similiarity between that and the city in the demo.
